Clubs like Chams
Jump to: Newest in thread
I've asked this in another thread, but it will be buried, so asking it in it's own thread.
I love Chams. It's my go-to choice of club. I like the size, the hot tubs and the 'dress down' nature of the place.
It doesn't mean I'd not like to go elsewhere from time to time for variety. I have tried VA and liked that too (although not strictly speaking a sauna-based club, it has an awesome hot tub).
So aside from those two, is there anywhere else in the UK that would be even vaguely comparable? I've looked through the club listings and nearly everywhere seems to be a 'dress up' club with several play areas and perhaps some sort of token 6-seater jacuzzi. Not quite the same.
Anyone have any ideas? |

Infusions in Blackpool has a large hot tub, sauna and indoor swimming pool. Dress down upstairs but when we went it was basically dress down everywhere as all the wet facilities are down stairs so didn't really see anyone dressed.
Eurekas in Kent has 2 large hot tubs comparable in size to Chams. Clothing optional/ naturist resort but def a swingers place too with playrooms and outside play areas too. Also an outdoor swimming pool for summer
Libs in Leicestershire has a large hot tub too. Play beds all around it.
None of them quite the same as Chams, I would say infusions is the most similar.

I quite liked Partners in Bury. If Chams was 10-10, I`d say Partners was 8.5-10. Couple bits I didn`t like but a great wet area. It has been a few years since I`ve been so my 8.5 may well be higher! |

Partners in Bury is a sauna based Club with a fabulous wet area but I think it may have got left behind in recent years with a number of new Clubs emerging in the NW and Partners has not really risen to the challenge.
We remember very busy Fridays and Saturdays there even without any special organised events but not seen anything like it for two years or more.
If you are reading this Partners, you need to up your game. You have everything needed and just need some imagination and drive to push on to the next level. |

I am a member of both Chams & Infusion with both having their own unique features which are both excellent. Chams also opens all 7 days from lunchtime to late which is great.
I would always rate Chams as the Top Club though with in my opinion a 10/10 and Infusion just behind with a 9/10. Chams is constantly renovating and updating features too which I think shows they are at the top of their game
I wish it was a little nearer to me though so I could go every week... |

"Never been to a club but heard nothing but good about chameleons I'm a single male is club welcoming to single guys ? "
The problem with Chams as far as we are concerned, is that there is a huge membership of single guys but, to be fair to the Club, they do limit the number of single guys memberships. On the face of it this may sound good but in our opinion the Club should utilise some very unpolitically correct, positive vetting with regards to single guys. It is all well and good to be socially and politically correct but in the real world, single guys in a Club need to be able to add to the party. Our single and only biggest objection to Chams is the (albeit relatively small) number of guys who shuffle around in towels wrapped around their chest with no expectations other than to perv.
I (we) would like to think that Chams would enable and allow hot guys to join, irrespective of numbers and surreptitiously delete membership of guys who add nothing to the party.
Sorry for the politically uncorrect post. |

But how do you select when your choice of "hot guy" is someone else`s munter? |

Presumably the same "vetting" should apply to couples, or are single guys only present at clubs to cater for couples and their demands and expectations?!
I'm guessing your definition of "hot" differs from others, so your suggestion of a swinging elite of "hot" people (who may not have personalities, intelligence or a sense of humour) sounds deeply unattractive to me in many ways. I go to Chams to meet people from all walks of life, of all shapes and sizes and to have fun - not to judge people on their appearance.
Completely agree that those guys who mindlessly and desperately follow couples and single ladies around don't help the atmosphere or themselves. In my experience, they are the least likely to be invited to play and certainly at Chams if they step out of line will be dealt with swiftly and firmly.
Chams is successful due to the mix of fabulous staff, great facilities and the varied clientele - it's non-judgemental environment is why people go there in such numbers and long may it continue.
Bait well and truly taken

We are not in any way having a go at Chams. Far from it. Having tried countless Clubs across the country and in our local area the only two Clubs that we go to these days are Chams and Xtasia.
The point I am making is that some single guys add nothing to the party for any number of reasons and yet there is seemingly a waiting list for single guy membership. |

There are also many couples and fems that add nothing to the party too so should they also be vetted ? Who decides anyway as everyones preferences are different ? |

No offence peeps, but can we not moan about single guys here? I just wanted to get some feedback on similar wet-based 'dress down' clubs like Chams.
I'm sure I've already got the answers but still |

I have been a member of Chams since not long after it opened (some 16+ Years) and yes I can relate to the OP as i am very much into the wet area's of a club.
I also travel a fair bit and I have tried a number of clubs. To add my opinion to the original question.... Until this summer I would have to agree chams is the best.... That is until i found Kestrels or Adfab's as it turns into later.
I found these two clubs to be very similar but with the addition of a decent size swimming pool. The play rooms are on a par with each other and although the spas are smaller, fun can still be had. I love the dark room at Kestrels a should you stay on a night when they open up the rest of the club it is an a par with Cams.
Personally now its a hard toss up between the two.
Even though Chams is 45 mins down the road and Kestrels 2.5 hours away ( driving past Chams on the way) its a very hard to choose between the two.
Try Kestrels/ Im sure you won't be disapointed.
