I understand it was a combination of having to leave the original location and then not getting the funding required to create spice 2.
We were lucky as we were just about to book and didn't lose money as some did
It was a couples only resort though |

They were informed a long time before that their lease would not be renewed when it expired on 12th of June. So they sold holidays for a second premises that they never actually raised the money to secure. When the 12th of June came the second premises was still a building site that the didn't and never had access to. So they wrapped up the business and disappeared with everyone's money. As far as we are aware the only people that have got money back are those that used other means of insurance such as credit cards.
Others that paid using real money out of their bank accounts were simply robbed and left with no recourse.
When I contacted them about our money I even told them what I felt they would do in the first email. We filled all the forms in, contacted all those that we should have and they did just what I said they would and disappeared. All email address and phone numbers shut down with no reply.
I'd love to meet them out and about on the scene I know quite a few people that would like a word. |

"A slightest lesser place has opened up though for those with a different taste "
Yeah, what is going on there now? I thought the landlord didn't renew the lease cos Thomas Cook wanted the site and were offering more money, then I heard this week at a club it was still a swingers resort. |

We went a few times a few years ago. Was always quiet unless was a party. It got a bit expensive for what it was. Maybe they tried to run before they could walk. Last time we were there an American was investing. Glad we never took up the offer to invest in the new venture. |

We like many others we have met in the past now go to PDI but we all agree there is a gap in the market for a AI couples resort in Europe.
Although PDI/ La Mirage/ Venus can be good.
The convienance of a AI swingers resort put Spice on another level and avoids having to spend the night walking from club to club trying to find the busiest but it's the same couples walking round all the clubs.

Definitely agree with you there. We went to pdi instead and we've booked again for this year. But it isn't the ideal that we would like. However the other choices are so much more expensive and further away.
Definitely a gap that needs filling! Someone lend us a few million? Lol |
