We avoid party nights as it's just too busy for us. We like a crowd but like to move too. Most themed nights are very busy so avoid them too

I agree, unless the theme is the 80's vampire film staring David Bowie, The Hunger.

Essex.

We enjoy most theme nights but find they attract some strange people...

We went to one a while back, first ones at our table set up our drinks and put towels on the seats as you are asked to do.

Go for a wander come back to find two couples at the table, all our stuff moved. We say excuse us but can we sit down, get asked are you on this table "yes" and point to our names on the list. "Are you sure, we know an X and Y?" " Yes, we are sure and that is our stuff you have moved, so can we sit down?"

With a huff and a sigh, they stand up to let us pass. They spend the whole of the night blocking both ends of the table so they have to move every time someone wants to leave or sit at the table. They are quite clearly pissed at having to move but refuse to slide down...

That's what puts us of theme night, you won't see these people for 6 months to a year but they think they own the sole rights to the table....

Sorry bored...

I enjoy the themed parties although experience has shown me that the majority of people prefer not to. I dont mind, it is good for a laugh and gives me an opening into conversation.

Stoke area

I really enjoy theme nights. It's normal for people to find sexy outfits to fit the theme and it's all about fitting in and a sense of belonging to the group.

At my local group it's often 50 to 75% to make the effort to dress according to the theme, but of course it's optional.

But since theme nights are once or twice a month, if it's not your thing, then go to the other nights

Hull but travel regularly

It puts me off. I'll still occasionally go to them as that's the night in free but i don't dress up. Bah humbug!
