I regularly go to bghs in the week, either with my best friend (a girl) for a gossip and catch up, or on my own to chill out after work. The staff are great and will really look out for you, and the spa is just lovely.

We went the weekend and jools was on her own for a while. I was getting a massage, the guy's were respectful but as always went where she went.
That said I would be more than happy for her to go alone as staff are always keeping an eye out.
I think she would go alone if she had a girlie mate to go with. |

As a single woman you will get a lot of attention. But it's well run.
There is no playing allowed in the spa area. And the staff girls are very strict about that. So a single woman can swim, relax in the jacuzzi, or saunas get a massage chill, sunbathe all without any awkwardness . The play areas can be a bit busy but by and large everyone is very respectful.
Couples evenings can be busy and fun. |

I went in daytime. Much quieter
There was a couple that followed me and I did get a rest room request. But the no is taken very well.

Do they have a bar there? Glass of wine to settle any nerves sounds delightful. |

No, it's not a good mix alcohol and the heat.
They do serve beverages tea coffee etc as well as basic food.
Which is quite nice.
Just avoid the chilli chutney with cheese really hot and spicy |

Hmm, maybe Fridays are finally looking up then - it used to be my regular evening at bghs but the atmosphere became awful and the number of couples dropped away. Single blokes don't tend to create much of an atmosphere (a conversation in the lounge is about the extent!) but perhaps this has just been a bad phase. Not that 1 single lady going changes it but if you can encourage some others along it might take off again - Friday evenings used to be really fun and lively there 2 or 3 years ago. |
