I had my first club experience last night at partners. I was really thrown by the lack of privacy in the communal changing room. I assumed there would at least be separate male & female ones! Wasn't ready for it and cut the visit short. I am far from shy but I like to decide who will see me starkers and getting changed feels very private. Any other swingers feel this way? Is this the case for all clubs or can people recommend another northern club with better changing facilities? Thanks |

I can't think of a club that we've been to that has male/female changing rooms. Some have single guy/couples changing rooms but then you would have to share with the male halfs of the couples.
Maybe a nightclub style club where you don't have to get changed might be better for you eg Xstasia. |

" I am far from shy but I like to decide who will see me starkers...
...or can people recommend another northern club with better changing facilities? " 1. Yes, I feel the same, I choose who I share my nudity with. But I have just always found it so much more practical getting changed from home and then with something a bit more covering over. If I need a second change I just turn away from who's there, cover with a towel or nip in to the toilets.
2. No, can't think of any Northern club with 'better' (You mean separate men and women?) changing facilities. |

Cupids has a couples and single ladies changing area with a curtain across but you're only seperate from single men. If a changing room is crowded, I use the bathroom. In Townhouse there is a toilet and shower room next door so sometimes I go in there because it gets crowded in the dressing area.
You just kind of get used to it after awhile, sitting on a changing room floor half naked battling with an inside out bodystocking while people bustle past. |

Never thought of this as a problem....but then my first club visit....yonks ago was Chams. I went with an FB and met my best (lady) mate there who had gone with a random guy she had pulled off Fab for the evening. We arrived together and just all went in main change area and stripped off. Never thought it would be any different! |

"Theres a similar post on this ... on the forums at the moment .... except its a guy talking about watching people in the changing rooms .....
Of which to me is wrong ....
"
I've had a few people openly standing watching in the changing room. Best way is to call them on it. They soon move sharpish. |

Every club I been you come dressed for the club, and if you meet someone you get undressed, unless you use the lockable rooms you are going to be seen naked, that's what people do get naked and enjoy fun with others, but then I am not a shy person. |

A couple came in while we were changing at kestrels this week and the guy commented it seemed a shame I was taking my (admittedly nice!) underwear off - I was a bit surprised because I generally don't really pay attention to what's going on in there and thought everyone was the same - clearly not Doesn't bother me being naked in a changing room though. |

Just took it for granted once we arrived. Jax a bit nervous at first but soon felt comfortable enough to even go in the communal shower where some guys were showering |

Every club we've been to has had mixed changing rooms, has never bothered us. In fact we've met some lovely couples and singles while getting changed, leading to playing together later.
It is really just a normal part of the experience. |

I've never even realised this may be an issue for some. I guess because everyone strips off for the hot tub and saunas in places then stripping off to get changed seemed totally normal. Most places I can think of have open showers too. |

I personally really don't care. I'm not shy about being naked or half dressed in front of people, even in situations where you would expect to feel not so comfortable.
For example, where I work we have a small room under the stairs with lockers in, no changing area and the toilets are two flights up. After work it's a mad rush to get your belongings before they lock up. I'll quite happily strip off and get into my motorbike gear, no matter who else is there. |

Being dressed down in front of strangers doesn't bother me but I like privacy for the process. But then perhaps I'm alone with this... I've always preferred privacy when getting ready. For example even on a girls night out, I don't like having friends around me whilst I'm getting ready.
I would definitely prefer a private space to get changed in a club. I don't see how wanting that is somehow at odds with the swinging scene. I'll opt for Quest for my next visit! |

I only go Chams. They have a single guys changing room and one for couples and single fems.
On my first visit i was very nervous before i went as i am rather fat and old and i thought i would get laughed at. However stripping off in the changing room felt great, like stripping off the shackles of vanilla life and i felt empowered plus nobody pointed or laughed at me and i went off and had a fantastic time |
