Only advice i can give is sleep the day before as your going to up all night
It gets busy so don`t take to many personal belongings, only the ones you don`t mind losing 
Drink spiking is another thing to look out for but apart from that it`s great and great temperatures through the night and excellent music  and good night on Haad Rin Nok
Just jump a songthaew and maybe try the half moon party or even the black moon party so no moon but still party time
