Hello guys and girls,
Not here to shamelessly plug, more to get points of views from other single swingers.
I'm holding a Swingles event in the next month or so, and wanted to find out what single guys and girls look for at clubs, any issues they find or any other helpful ideas that they've seen before in other places.
Couples, I love you to bits, this isn't a night made to alienate you, just there doesn't seem to be many nights for singles.

it's always the question tho what's people's taste and again catering for everyone is the issue then some people get the hump if you set an age limit or couples aren't aloud or you look only for a certain type of person there's always going to be hype and negatives... arrange a party for what you want to see and have and stick by your guns if you want 20-35 attractive singles then go with that if you want a variety then go with that people will always have some comment xx fair play to you and Iam always up for a good split ratio of men and women there's never enough of it |

Nah, there'll be none of that. I ALWAYS chat to people on the phone first, there's no other way to do it. We'll be doing a meet and greet hour beforehand so anybody who's new to clubs can get the show round, ask questions etc.
And of course, the guest list will be a mixture. No point having a room just full of blondes with big boobs lol x |

Nah, there'll be none of that. I ALWAYS chat to people on the phone first, there's no other way to do it. We'll be doing a meet and greet hour beforehand so anybody who's new to clubs can get the show round, ask questions etc.

If I was looking to meet my own requirements, I'd do that for a one to one meet.
Hosting an event is different for me as it's not about who I would play with, it's who I think would get on with who and making introductions.
As said in my OP, it was a question to find out what single people would like and anything helpful that they could add to the mix in terms of ideas  |

Bear in mind that these have been house parties and private meets, I wouldn't invite someone into my home without speaking to them lol. But I've found it works for me as I like to get to know people ahead of meeting and I've tended to stick with it. Everyone is different x |

Ah, you mentioned clubs in your first post. I assumed you were talking about clubs, rather than private parties.

Men/women with predatory tendencies, you know the ones who follow you around, touch without asking or get a bit too close for comfort. I think most of us have seen or encountered this in clubs before. Something I imagine is hard to combat with a chat over the phone as anyone can act like the ideal swinger until they are in a certain environment. Just my two pence worth, hope it works though as i like the idea! |

Definitely, there's a lot of lurkers about who don't get the etiquette. I guess if they are a regular club goer they'll understand how to conduct themselves.
I'd definitely recommend the meet and greet part to anyone who hasn't been before as all that can get talked about before everyone else turns up x |

What sort of "event" are you planning on having? A social, or a "munch" or a full blown swinging night?
If an idea of the "end product" could be given it may inspire some suggestions of how people think you could get there.

It would be a regular kind of night at a club, just with single guys and girls instead of the traditional mix of couples. And of course, my own little spin on things lol.
As for play, that's for everyone to decide for themselves, you know yourself there's always a mix of voyeurs, social butterflies and party animals x |

That's just my preference, I tend not to find older than 40ish men attractive, there is always going to be an exception but that's kinda just how I prefer it.

Depends on the guys tbf I've found that their experience in clubs can vary greatly and be different for each person I know a lot of guys that are decent but also have had a few words as well |

Comfortable place to sit relax and socialise without there being shenanigans going on. Preferabbly with soft sofas instead of leather! Lol.
And it has to be a warm venue! Nothing worse than walking in shivering all night or sweating like a pig and burning up! |

Got all the club facilities, seating areas, play areas, hot tub, heating, parking, rooms to stay over.
In terms of single guys, I've found they either end up being charged a fortune, made to feel unwelcome or don't understand some of the etiquette. Or they fear it will be a "sausage fest" and they'll get lost in the crowd.
But less quality guys means less single girls will want to go along if they're after a bit of man candy lol x |

I can't see you having too much of a problem there
Cost will be £10 per person with more of an emphasis of getting to meet other singles, but with all the facilities and safety factor so people can play.
As a single girl, I definitely feel safer with other people around x |

Found ourselves a unicorn ladies lol.
For any new/unverified members or someone new to the club/party scene, I'd definitely recommend the meet and greet before to look around, meet my welcome team and we can help out with introducing you to people.
Also looking to have a photographer set up so people can have pics for their profiles, only so many angles you can get taking selfies, right? Lol x |

PS this isn't an age-restricted event as such, as there are some people who are older in years and younger in spirit.
We just ask people to respect the fact that everyone has their own preferences for play when it comes to these things lol x |

Personally I think it would be good if it was on a Saturday night as most places are couples and single ladies on Saturdays. Also it would give more people the chance to attend due to travelling distances and some who work Saturday mornings. |

I know what you mean, Saturday is an option for another event later down the line though, this was the best night for the club venue. They do allow some guys on a Saturday anyway, especially once you've been and shown your face.
Plus you can always meet new folk to buddy up with for other club nights x |

At long last! Such a great idea!!
Wish more people were as cool, open minded and full of great ideas like Sexy Siren here and arranged more events for us genuine swingles who so often get over looked!

I'm doing a meet and greet hour beforehand too, 8-9pm.
If you haven't been to a club before, this will be a good opportunity to have a look around, go through club etiquette, revamp profiles, ask any questions and calm any nerves.
For girlies, we will have rooms if you want to change into your party clothes and fingers crossed a make-up artist.
We'll also have a photographer set up for if anyone wants profile pics taking (check mine as most are taken by him lol).

Not enough clubs host this kind of event at weekends, i dont enjoy couples and single lady nights attall...
Single ladies and single guys is an area that tends to get ignored. We all have needs, despite being single.

I'm holding a Swingles event in the next month or so, and wanted to find out what single guys and girls look for at clubs, any issues they find or any other helpful ideas that they've seen before in other places.

My thought as well being 49 I felt alienated by the first few comments just coz I am a little older does not mean I don't want sex like anyone else "
"Distinguished gents" are welcome regardless of age, but we do also ask that anyone's age preferences are respected when it comes to playing as the generation gap can make younger folk feel a little uncomfortable. Playing with someone the same age as my parents doesn't quite work for me but there will be older ladies attending.
"Wanting sex like everyone else" may not be the best view of looking at it, but you will definitely get to meet new people x |

As a single I'm quite intimidated by the whole club/event scene hence I never been to one .
I have to say that your event does look really tempting, I would probably attend as Bedford is not that far, but I might be occupied on the 13th may .
To answer the question though, as a single guy I would definitely be looking for sexy sirens  .
And like others mentioned private relaxed areas.
And older ladies too Gotta love the older ladies! |

I'm guessing you are referring to the one on 8th of April at Jaydees? I would definitely be interested in a meet and greet event but I'm swarmed with work in April . Would have to see if I have any time, as for the cougars they would be very welcome too . Though any lady over 23 is considered older to me |

I look for reasonable entry cost ,plenty of sexy ladies at club ,good music ,no weirdos and touchers ,clean modern surroundings ,easy to get to and from ,at least two Jacuzzis and a microwave ,sauna ,steam room ,plenty of soft drinks and salmon sandwiches     |

Yep, I go to JD's and VA and allways feel a bit out as a single guy, you are almost the gooseberry, a party for singles would be a good idea, though I bet a lot of us will already know each other already from the scene so it will just turn out to be the usual. BUT don't let age be a barrier all my equipment is in perfect working order, and if it is going to be a JD's they already have a photographer there aka 'blue badger'. |

Have met Jon a few times, lovely guy. Have got a couple of friends coming along to take pictures, should be some cracking results..
No age limit as such, as mentioned before "distinguished gents" are fine as long as they respect that younger players may have different preferences. X |

"Got all the club facilities, seating areas, play areas, hot tub, heating, parking, rooms to stay over.
In terms of single guys, I've found they either end up being charged a fortune, made to feel unwelcome or don't understand some of the etiquette. Or they fear it will be a "sausage fest" and they'll get lost in the crowd.
But less quality guys means less single girls will want to go along if they're after a bit of man candy lol x

Am I hearing right? If the price quoted is true then kudos because single guys get charged a fortune these days in clubs that is why they tend to break etiquette with the view of getting their moneies worth.
On the other side that price could also get you too many people on the loose without quality! You got to up your screening skills to even things up!
Out of interest for genuinety reasons you going to talk to people on phone? How are you going to ensure the level of quality and cleanliness? The term "single" means they have a bar of preferences!
