Hi all,

Any thoughts on which spa would be most fun for a weekday afternoon? I have tried Divinos and found it to be quiet but still had a good time. I have yet to try Rios and wonder if it should be my next visit.

Didn't take a trip to Rios, went to Kestrels instead which was a fabulous way to spend an afternoon.

Divino is cheap- £20 for a single bloke.

I've been three times, always on a weekday afternoon. The first couple of times I pretty much had the place to myself, third time was a Friday and there were a few more blokes there, not seen any women there other than the staff.. who are all lovely by the way.

Considering how cheap it is, it's a clean and well presented facility. I've not been to Rio's so I can't compare- the only other place I've been is Adam & Eve's in Eccles (I hear it's been refurbished since I was taken there!)

I'd like to visit Kestrel's at some point but it's a lot more expensive especially for a self employed chap in a niche industry!

I know the feeling! Kestrels is great though and does have more facilities than Divino's. There are also usually more people and consequently it feels as though there is more chance of having some nice play time. However, if that doesn't happen, the facilities and the vibe of the place are so good that you can still have a great time and feel very relaxed. It will always be a bit pot luck as to who might be there on the day you go which might make it worth considering going on one of the days that has an open AbFab meet that evening. That makes it a whole lot better value. I would prefer it if it was a bit cheaper as it does mean I don't get to go as often as I would like.

I've tried Kestrels and divinos and have got to admit, though pricey, Kestrels was great fun. Loved the dungeon area!

Having said that, I still have a soft spot for divinos and have met couples there on occasion. I also think their sauna is better, just not enough people in it!

I'll be back at divinos next Monday but I think I'll save my next trip to Kestrels for the summer.

I too have a soft spot for Divino's (but it's getting harder all the time). The sauna is bigger there but not always as warm as the Kestrels one.

One occasion at Divino's did I get to play with a couple (oh, but it was a corker of a time) - almost nothing else aside from that.

The hostesses are great though and you can usually have a reasonable chat with them. I have a bit of a thing about Angela's legs too which, IMHO, are beautiful.
