Travelodge Bromborough for Townhouse

Hi we are busy sorting out a long weekend away in March which will include a visit to Townhouse Club on the Wirral.

I was wondering if the Travelodge Bromborough is only suitable for a single night stay or would two/three nights be ok in there?

If not we might stay in Chester or Liverpool and drive to the club but I'd rather not worry about not being able to have a few drinks.

Merseyside

I'd suggest staying in liverpool city centre and calling a taxi to get to TH, as it is literally the opposite side of the mersey.

I think i paid £11 in the last cab i got to TH, and that was from liverpool city centre.

Might also be worth taking a look at the Premier Inn Birkenhead. Cost me £2.50 in a taxi to TH the last time I stayed there.

Birkenhead/Liverpool

I would say that if you are staying a few days, then stay in Liverpool. There are some amazing hotels there and not far from us at all! You are in the centre of everything there and loads to do in the daytimes.

If you want to treat yourself, then go for the likes of the Titanic hotel, Hard Days Night hotel, 30 James street exclusive hotel, Signature Living or the Shankly.

If you want something that is more cheap and cheerful, then there are a few Travelodges, Premier Inn, and Ibis and Novatel.

If you want middle of the road and these are often on Laterooms then go for the Marriot, The Crown Plaza, Radisson Blu (business side of town) or the Holiday Inn.

Please please steer away from the Adelphi! It's a PIT!!

If you do want to stay on the Wirral, then the Village Hotel in Bromborough is nice for longer stays rather than the Travelodge.

If you fancy a Bed and Breakfast, then there is a nice one calld the Bebington B & B which is 5 mins away.

Hope this helps

Vicky xx

The Village is nicer for a longer stay.

Posh Pads apartments in liverpool is good as well and has free parking I think. Has parking onsite at least, which many hotels and apartments in the centre don't have.

Crowne Plaza is on the waterfront basically and has free parking too and is an easy walk into town, city centre parking is often expensive. Malmaison is a little different to standard chains but isn't mega expensive, though no parking with that, there's a huge parking place next door though.

We've stayed at both the Travelodge and the Village and while the facilities at Village are better (options for food and swimming etc.) the rooms in our experience were awful - run down and dirty so the village got a much worse trip advisor review from us that the Travelodge. Although, the Travelodge is good for one night I don't think I'd want to stay there any longer than that it's basic and you don't even get free wifi.
