Is it usual to play so late?

Nottingham

We were at la chambre for the first time last Saturday. We were shown round and it seemed a nice club... We sat and socialised for a short while and watched a sexy lady do a pole dance for her guy which was great

Then we played in the dungeon and after that went upstairs to see what was going on.... and the answer was absolutely nothing! Undeterred we started playing in the room with mirrors and we had a fun time together. One or two couples came to watch briefly.

When we finished and left the room it was half past one and only one other couple were playing, although several couples were standing around chatting. As we left I checked the pool and it was also empty.

Is this usual? It seems very late to leave it til after half one to even start playing....and a bit strange to go to a swinger club but not play at all?

There didn't seem to be many people there. ..about a dozen couples tops. We'll give it another try on a Friday night but if it's no better .... it's a long way to go for a shag

Any thoughts?

Some people seem to use Swingers Clubs as a way of socialising and then arrange to play another time or at home or hotels.

Some just like to leave it late to play.

Each to their own, no right and wrong just do what feels right for you

Generally speaking in La Chambre play doesn't really start until half 11 to midnight after socialising and dancing downstairs. It opens at half 9 so that's not long chatting really.

Any club will tell you they can't guarantee anyone will play and a lot of the members might only be looking to socialise on a particular night, or play solo in private rooms. You may have simply missed some of the action but equally people might not have been doing it at all.

We've also found that people spend most of the night pissing about. To us, it seems to be restricted to certain clubs, so try some others?

Also Friday nights shut an hour earlier at half 2 so any playing tends to happen slightly earlier. Numbers wise, I covered on the 13th and there were 48 couples in, usually it's about 25 couples on a Saturday. Busy weeks (by design with theme nights or by chance like the other week) are often followed by quieter weeks.

For reference Friday nights usually have about 15-20 couples and an equal number of guys although they can be much busier for all attendees. It's hard to predict

AbFabs doesn't really get going until 11:30-ish!! We've noticed people turning up as we leave (usually 1-2-ish). We just assumed they were hardcore...

Some places like secrets in Devon let people sleep over and Chameleons has a "hotel" on the side of it, very reasonably priced

I've noticed that dates can effect numbers at clubs, namely if it's beginning of the month or end of month when many get paid. Saying that as the Abfab couple said most playing starts around 11:30ish and in some cases I've been asked to leave as its gone on until 3am

We had the same thing at our first event , Which was very much a Play event ,

We met a few attending for pre drinks so a fair few of us were acquainted before we got there

It was our first time and we were nervously excited about the possibilities of the evening.

And for a further two or three hours nobody did anything , we got bored,At about 2am as we were leaving others started to play, but we had been there nearly 4 hours by then, we haven't been back

Interesting thank you all. No one was dancing either ... or using the pool. .. or the dungeon .

As you say each to their own but to me there's little point going to a swinger club on a couples night if we're going to be one of the very few playing lol.

Yes we've been to chams and enjoy the earlier evening fun but it's a very long drive and we were just hoping to find a good busy club closer to home.

At Atlantis Evolution some do go to play earlier than others or maybe try a Greedy Girls Night?

We were there on Saturday, it was a quiet night, quieter than normal. We normally find if no one has started playing then we will play as a couple and then others might or might not join in.

We played as a couple, a few watched, and then about 2am we came downstairs, I had a dance with another lady, and then we went upstairs and played with them

It all depends whose in there and how early people mutually want to get started, it can vary a lot.

We were there on Friday and we found by the time we had got comfortable, had a few conversations and were ready to play, the club was closing! At OP4F in London we didn't leave til 4:30!

If you're done playing and leaving before 2am at Secrets, you're not doing it right. The party goes on as long as it needs to!

[FYI, yes you can sleep in the house, but the music often doesn't get turned down until after 6am, if ever. They offer additional accommodation at a cost if you want somewhere quiet to close your eyes]
