Having been to both, but admittedly my last visit to Partners was some years ago now, I will say that they are both similar style of clubs with the emphasis on the spa. Indeed, both have good spa areas, one jaccuzzi, cold plunge pool and sauna. Chams having the benefit of a larger building has two jaccuzzis, sauna and steam room. Both have quirky layouts, lockable rooms, dungeons etc. etc. But in comparison to Chams and because it is a smaller building, Partners does have, in my opinion, more minuses. The changing room is tiny and there is no parking facilities, the only parking being in unlit side streets. The smoking facilities were ...... novel! Also, and I will admit that time has passed and improvements may well have been made since my last visit, Partners was looking a bit tired and in need of a bit of refurbishment last time I was there. Having said that, Chams isn`t perfect and I would like to see an extra staircase going from the ground floor to the first (as no doubt so would may others including the management if it was possible
) and I would also like to see the changing facilities on the ground floor between the entrance desk and the rest of the club. However, that`s not going to happen givens the constraints of the building footprint.
I really like both of these very friendly clubs and would love to visit Partners again as I haven`t been for such a long time but sadly it`s just too far away for me. Please try both clubs, I`m sure you will enjoy them. |
