I thought I would have a look at op4fun. I was reading through their rules and I got to the part on alchol and noticed that no pre mixed spirits are allowed inc alcopops
This is the first club that I have been to that has said that. I appreciate that they serve soft drinks behind the bar but no alcopops is a bit harsh and I think inessential
I often take alcopops to clubs because vodka is to strong if I am playing, and I don't drink drink wine or beer and I like to have a drink that relaxes me but won't impact performance
It is a shame that now I probably won't go there now |

The reason for this is very simple ..the girls behind the bar do a stirling job in serving everyone their drinks all night and allways with a smile .. even though their wages are minimum .. the club pays for the soft drinks and mixers out of its own pocket yet allows the girls to split whatever they sell in soft drinks between them which boosts their pay .. you ARE however allowed to take your pre mixed drinks into the club but a minimum bar tab of £10 must be put behind the bar which the girls recieve whether you spend it or not .... if the club had a licenced bar the fact youd have to pay for your mixers and drinks would not even arise .. most waitress/hostess workers rely on tips and bonuses like this its part of their wages so to deny these girls who do an amazing job keping everyone happy and helping with any problems whist being so easy on the eye would be a travesty as most would not be able to afford to do the job ... i really hope this clears this up as it really is a really great little club that i believe deserves you giving it another go with all of this in mind ... caz and paul |

Mike, don't let a little thing like that stop you from going. It is such a great little club with some of the nicest and most diligent staff you could ever hope to meet. Rethink your beverage routine and give it a go my friend. HHx |

Thanks cazandpaul - I have just had another look at the clubs website and clearly states that no pre mixed drinks are allowed - if that policy has changed then I think the website should be updated to reflect that. My original post was written 9 months ago
Would I be happy to pay effectively a corkage fee for pre mixed drinks ummm maybe / maybe not. I remember my issue at the time was that how does a pre mixed drink differ than a glass of wine or beer (my particular drink is 4%).
Personal I would never drink vodka and Coke/lemonade mixed for me in a club. Mainly because it would be hard for me to judge amount that I had consumed
I must say I was actually thinking about giving the club a go when night tube started in Dec (the pic) however after re reading the rules I just feel they come across a bit strong. Which appears to be opposite to what people of said in person.
Well if I do go I will update thread on my thoughts positive and if any negatives

To be honest i believe that single guys bringing in wines or beers DO still pay the £10 "corkage" fee . I fully understand what you are saying about the website needing to be a bit clearer and im sure now that the gorgeous kate is now co-running the club once it is pointed out she will make these changes to the webpage .. to be fair the issue dosnt come up a great deal but as we go there quite a lot we have seen it come up from time to time. And entering a club with your night all mapped out only to be told this on the door can be a bit off putting but as greg has the girls intrests at heart (maybe a tad strongly) maybe contact the club and mention that that is your drink of choice and that you wouldnt mind paying a corking charge it could all be settled before you attend next time .. i know he puts the corking charge directly into the girls tip pot or writes any tips on the dry wipe board .. the girls do do an amazing job there serving and assisting customers and keeping the place immaculately clean and tidy throughout the night its the least i think they deserve .. caz drinks jd and but only has a tiny splash of so we allways put a tenner behind the bar and if theres any left it goes into the tip pot and most of the time if weve had more than our usual ammount of soft drinks then we tend to leave the £5 deposit for the locker key in the tip pot too ... greg, the girls & the whole club & atmosphere are such gems id hate anyone to think otherwise just because of a little miscommunication .. caz n paul x |

Hi Mike
Caz & Paul have explained the logic behind this
I would just like to add that other clubs, where the bar is staffed too, has similar policies. EWS also requests a surcharge if pre-mixed drinks are required to be stored and dispensed
Have fun at OP4F; it is a great place to visit
