Xtasia are hosting some big events and also new events this year, the Macmillan charity quiz, ffff night, unicorns, cirque is also back and introducing the event of the year the freakers ball plus many more.
Whose looking forward to what or does anyone have any questions they wanna ask new or old members?

I think that Xtasia are setting the bar in where clubs should be going in 2016. They run different events, music policies etc to attract different groups of people.
It means that it's not just "the same thing" week in week out, it makes a visit to the club a bit more special. And you can choose the right night to be more likely to meet people more like you.
e.g. we'd be unlikely to go to the Retro night, but have already booked for DPraved next month!

All the events for the year are on the Xtasia . co . uk website to help you plan ahead but some new one's get added as we go along so worth checking forums for one offs/birthday/themed nights

Nice thread, thank you all. Was chatting to Cheth Icon, our new DJ last night as think a couple of our Fridays are getting a little stale now...he's having a think about directions he could go, but pretty sure he'd appreciate some ideas, especially from regulars.  |

Speed chatting night, you have five mins at the beginning of the evening to chat to a couple or single m/f get to know each other why your at the club etc n which way you play. Then you swap and move on to another so on and so forth. It'll create a real buzz and people will know faces at other events

Alright guys i rembember the club trying out a padlock and key thingy me giggy where by you had to find the right key for your lock or right lock for your key. This sounded like a good idea in theory, was it tried ? Was ut a sucess. Also think the speed chatting idea although dont think there would be enough time in one night once em start talkin |

I do believe this night is being held next month first weekend but will need to check and confirm. Excited for this night as it sounds like fun.

Depraved is an excellent night that brings a lot of people into the club. They really do cover a wide range of tracks as they have awesome djs that know what we wanna hear and drop the right tunes new or old. An 80s theme night could be good fun again get the neon and cindy lauper wig on lol. By April you could be a regular lol |

February 6th is lock and key night. Object of the evening is to find either your key that fits someone's lock but during the process you talk to people more and have a giggle.
This night will be a lot of fun as long as people remember to find there partner in crime and maybe face a forfeit???? |

A Hollywood movie themed night , whereby all the music is movie related , dirty dancing , footloose , coyote ugly , sat night fever , pitch perfect the music choice is endless and create a good vibe party atmosphere xx |

The Bucking Bronco was a top night despite the bruises.
I think more fun and games possibly.
There was talk of a dedicated Reggae Night. The list for that was huge and garnered interest from far and wide.
Karaoke!
Salsa (ooh with a teacher) that would be cool. You could combine that with a Mardi Gras/ Latin American theme.
And Dpraved every weekend

Great themes
Would also agree with the posts promoting 80s night. Whilst not my exact cup of tea, Lizzie loves the 80s and in fairness, the one last April or so was well attended and a real good night!
If you check a couple of threads in the general, there's been a load of posts for 90s music.
Looking at the posts, there's the makings of a great playlist and a really good era that both the younger and the older swinging generations can relate to. |

Don't mention Karaoke too loud. Lizzie is hit and miss. One moment she can sing, the next she could empty the place. Not worth the risk! Ha!
Reggae night definitely would be good, lots of great lovers rock/soul/basement/ragga and mashups to get the vibe going.
Met a fantastic Latin couple the other week and were dancing until 6:30am.
They want to visit _tasia and who knows, might be just that couple to give some lessons.
Think they're heading back end of Feb though, so would have to be quick.
PM us if you want me to ask them. As long as Jay has access to Spotify/YouTube, then we could easily compile a playlist.

We're going to have a go at creating evenings based on music decades, and also genres. So for example, one night might be 80's mixed up with our current dance style, then another night Reggae mixed with current. Not going to make them exclusive evenings, just mixed up to give a good smattering during the evening. That way if you don't like a decade or genre, it shouldn't put you off attending! |

We do find the majority of singles are after the sex side of the club, and when we've tried a special night on a Friday, they tend to fall a little flat. If you have an idea that will get the guys involved, let us know. |

I think adding an adjective to the genre or decade should suffice, such as the naughty noughties, or even a flip like sixtyNineties.
I know it's theme specific but just thinking out loud, whilst the creative juices are trying to flow: Girl Power, Ladies Night (ones to incorporate with the music from the decades; Spice Girls in the 90s and Kool and the Gang in the 80s, whilst focussing on the female theme).
Or maybe Song Titles: A 3some targeted "2 become 1" again using a 90s song title.
Not sure if anyone wrote a song "4 becomes 2" though.

I think this idea is a good one. Would be great for first timers or people still new to it like ourselves but also good for helping more experienced couples perhaps chat and meet new people as well.
As an addition maybe it could be fab themed, if all the couples are numbered perhaps at end of it you tick the couples U would like to swap details with and any matches you receive you then get their fab name ? |

I think this idea is a good one. Would be great for first timers or people still new to it like ourselves but also good for helping more experienced couples perhaps chat and meet new people as well.
As an addition maybe it could be fab themed, if all the couples are numbered perhaps at end of it you tick the couples U would like to swap details with and any matches you receive you then get their fab name ?"
Partners have a whiteboard where you can add your profile name when you enter, which is a great idea.
I was thinking that it would be good to take that another level very similar to when you go to a club and take pictures of people enjoying the night and then having them on the TV screens and profile names.
But a whiteboard would do for now.
However, I love the above idea of having a night where couples can be numbered and you have this coupled with a speed dating/or not, where you put your numbers on a piece of paper.
Might sound a bit cattle market and maybe not for everyone, but I think a once off, suck it and see (no pun intended) could be interesting and a bit different to the norm. |

How about a hand written business card size piece of paper with fab usernmae and real names to fill in and pass on to each other , then you can keep or not those whom you might want to chat to more afterwards...

Right guys to let you all know FEB 6th is the launch of lock and key night. The idea is you will be given a number and your partner a different number. The idea is to go into the club and talk with as many couples and singles to find your matching number on achieving this you both go the bar together and get a free shot.
Hopefully this will be a busy night and will get more people talking as a chat doesn't always mean you want to play and this is something the club tries hard to promote. So let's have a giggle and hope our paths cross in finding our match. Any questions please feel free to ask xxx
Keep the ideas coming though as Paul is always checking them. Also fire your ideas at the club direct as they love hearing the customers ideas and events they'd like to see. |

These all fall on the 1st Saturday of the month, and hopefully cover most of the common ones asked for.

I'd love to see a rock night at some point! Fiance and I loved it on our first visit, but he's a bit of a music snob and has been quite reluctant to come back so far. A rock night might be just what we need to get him back and enjoying it again! |

The club did host a twisted rock night and this was a huge success for the club. Will put forward again to host another and hopefully get you back for another visit x |

Our first ever club visit was at the weekend there, to Xtasia.... FFFF and Unicorn night! Both incredible! So much so we will happily drive down from Scotland again! |
