We just had NYE at VA and had a great night the only slight down side was the bar prices.
Quite a few couples we met there said the same.
What are other club prices like? |

Slough Windsor ish |
Personally I don't go to clubs for the bar.
I guess clubs can charge what they like? I was under the impression most till struggled to get liquor licenses so operated a bring your own policy?
I'm always a little concerned by the amount people drink at clubs and parties as alcohol lowers inhibition and that, in my mind, can lead to trouble.
If you wouldn't or couldn't do it stone cold sober why would you be so happy to put yourself into a position where you might regret something?

STOKE-ON-TRENT |
Some clubs operate a "Bring Your Own Booze " policy, get what alcohol you want from supermarket etc. No worries about the price or not getting what you want.
They usually sell soft drinks and mixers so don't upset the owners by trying to sneak your own in, that is their income. |

I find it works out expensive at those with a bar. Have to say worse so far was tease 2.. as soft drinks were poured from a bottle prices less than what they were charging per glass.
We prefer the take your own approach. |

Townhouse has cheap bar prices and as far as I know, is the only club which gives guests the choice of bringing their own alcohol or buy from us. We have a massive licensed bar and shots of branded spirits such as Gordons, Smirnoff, Bacardi, whiskey, Southern Comfort, Malibu are £1.00!!!!!! Even our premium spirits such as Jack Daniels and Courvoisier are only £2.00! Our mixers are £1.50 BUT they last for 2 drinks so in effect 2 double vodkas and diet would cost £5.50.
Our tea and coffee is £1.50 but the coffee is costa coffee and our tea is Clipper and it comes in a pot which will do 2 cups.
We are always praised on our cheap bar.
People pay to get in, so I don't believe in ripping people off at the bar.

Thank you everyone, we will look at some of the clubs you recommend. It's not the end of the world but I did think our bar bill was expensive at VA six drinks each and bill was over £80. |

I go to la Chambre and have a bottle of wine, which is £7.50. Prosecco is £10 and has very good things said about it. They also sell bottled beer/lager/cider and spirits which I believe are at pub prices. |

Everywhere we have been is bring your own.
We spent a vanilla night with family on New Years Eve .... seven drinks for £7.35 - haha, you can't beat a private members club that is not a swingers club! |

Don't care either way whether a club is bring your own or a licensed bar and what prices the bar is, if they are a little more expensive wow, we may spend an extra tenner, no big deal, we don't go to clubs to get d*unk anyway x |

Bottles at £2.70, single measure of spirits £2.60, softs £1.90 with the odd exception for smaller stuff and water. Last time I worked we also had Carling zest for £1 a bottle |

That is outrageous to the point of suspecting a mistake. Xtasia is £5.20 for a double spirit mixer and the mixer is a bottle. |

What were you drinking as that averages at £6.60 per drink |

We usually go to places that are BYO but recently went to Townhouse and decided to buy from the bar - 2 of us all night (while picking up drinks for another couple too) was about £20. Much easier than bringing your own and reasonably priced |

Various Venues Across The UK |
Two of the venues that the BMFC use are licenced bars with very good prices!
They've both been mentioned above, Xtasia in West Brom and No3 Club in Chorley. Very cheap and perfect if you only want one or two drinks for 'courage'. Definitely cheaper than a 'vanilla' night out |

Usually go to venues where its bring your own drinks. I have been to Townhouse and have to say the bar is amazingly cheap!! I was shocked how low my bar tab was after a overnight stay.

Why do people consume alcohol anywhere, at any time or in any circumstances? Is it because they are incapable of doing something without a little bit of alcohol? |
