I read a posting (which I think has been removed ) a few weeks ago about a bouncer at Cupids being arrested for assault.

It has been handed to my attention that this person was out on licence

Why was this person employed in a club without the proper checks?

As a single woman. This makes me quite afraid about entering a club which had been previously recommended to me.

I am sure that the general public has not been made aware of the full story, just gossip and rumours X

The post shared on the original thread on the Greater Manchester Police was pretty specific. As was the post from Cupids that it was true and that 2 people had been arrested and charged.

Maybe, this just feels like the start of a club bashing thread though.

There is always more to a story x

over the hill and far away

Doesn't sound like a club bashing to me. I think all single women need to be protected in this type of lifestyle. I've been to Cupids many times and enjoyed myself but I'm a bit worried about things now.

I think if members of staff are arrested and charged with assault that information should be very much in the public domain. And the club concerned should be issuing a statement about it.

I don't see how it's a club bashing thread? Most clubs don't have this issue?

obviously there was a problem in the past, either slack management issues or bad judgement of staff. Surely this has been delt with by the police and mangement and I am sure they are running a much tighter ship now. X

Cupids owners and management are unable to comment on this forum post as its content & subject matter are both "sub judice". We can however confirm that our door staff, when used are are correctly licenced & "badged".

Thank you for you understanding.
