I'm looking to dip my toe in the water of a club in the New Year with my partner and had a couple of questions that you wonderful people may help me with:- first what would be a novice's dress code? And secondly if you go and look, see and watch but not take part is it frowned upon? As at the end of the day it might not be the thing for us. |

At most clubs the dress code is smart casual (no jeans or trainers). Most clubs will welcome a couple to come and take part in the social side of swinging, having a couple of drinks, chatting with others, looking at the venue and seeing what others get up to. For anyone new to this lifestyle, it's a case of taking things at your own pace and not be pressured into doing anything you don't want to. Everyone has to start somewhere and no one will think anything bad about you if you do nothing more than what I have mentioned above. Have fun and enjoy clubs if that is what you both want. |

Once you've chosen the club, check the dress code, some are dress up some are dress down in different areas.
You certainly don't have to play, when we first went I did a lot of chatting and watching, it allowed me just to check it out, did have fun but just with my partner.
Any good club will also show you around the facilities, talk to you about their etiquette and rules, they may even introduce you to other guests.
Plus, if the first clyb you try isn't right for you, don't be put off, there are different ones which suit different people. Have fun |

Still new ourselves, we didnt play with anyone our first visit, but we did strip off and play together. We would always be happy to have a smart dressed couple say hi and have a drink/chat, so nice ironed trousers and shirt, black shoes. And for the lady, pretty much snything goes to be honest. L wore a fairly revealing low cut dress for our first meet with high heels, we have since bought specific outfits for her to wear to clubs......we have seen women arrive in anything from lingerie to full sequined dresses.....most important is be yourself, and have fun....thats the whole point x |
