I went last year with a friend and had my best NYE ages. At midnight we were sat naked in the pool with our plastic glasses of champagne watching the fireworks. Before that it was black tie wear and nice canapes and nice conversation. We were pretty insular when it came to playing and did our own thing, but l did not notice any excessive d*unken behaviour. |

I don't really understand why only couples and single ladies.
I don't want to play with couples, I want to play with single men.
So as a single lady, these couples and single ladies only nights are pointless. |

hi guys we went to xtasia last year it was ok but thinking we might try abs this year. xtasia was little to much like any normal club is abfabs a little more respectful and not just a piss up lol |

I presume they don't want the cliched bad single men ruining things! I have heard of two couples not going because of no single men.

There are other clubs doing new year's eve for couples and single males and females.
As a couple that want to play with other couples, and not be inundated by single men, couples ( and single ladies) nights are completely the point. As it is, on most couples only nights at AbFabs, single men still seem to be able to find their way in. |

We won't be going for this very reason, we play with both couples and singles but would like the choice on the night. I think they're missing a trick here, we've been on a few occasions and never had any issues with single guys they're all very polite and well behaved. We won't be going for this very reason, we play with both couples and singles but would like the choice on the night. We now only go couples only nights... as do many other couples. Also see that tickets are sold out for NYE, so how can they be 'missing a trick'?
That said, even when we go on couples only nights, single guys still manage to get in... by, we think, 'hiring' girls to go with them. The number of men wandering around on their own on couples only nights is increasing. The club doesn't seem able or willing to control this. It stopped us going for a while... now if we're approached by a guy on his own we always ask to see his partner first, and then tell the guy that we'll play with him on his own once we've played with his 'girlfriend' on her own first. Never been introduced to a partner yet, surprisingly! |

Don't want to steer this thread away from its intended purpose.
But we also like to play with single guy's, but after our last visit to Abfabs on a Friday we don't think we will be going again.
Dress code seems non existent, the club don't seem to control them at all, and a pack mentality ensues, following women around and harassing them.
Due to the extortionate amount they pay to get in, they think they have a right to get sex. Without it seems following any protocol or indeed willing to engage in conversation.
But this is for a different thread sorry.
We are going to the hellfire club instead. |

This is why we stopped going to Abfabs on Fridays, but we have to say that all the club's we've been to have been the same with regard to single guys, dress code, quotas, and courtesy. But you're right, another time and another thread. |
