What's everyone's opinion on drinking alcohol in swingers clubs ? For us personally we see a night at a swingers club as a social event and as such we enjoy having some drinks and getting merry. It loosens us up and makes us more open for meeting new people and helps us enjoy the whole night regardless of whether we find suitable playmates or not. But i saw a thread recently where someone stated drinking to the point of being a bit pissed is a no no. Obviously we don't get to the point where we are blind d*unk and can't function but we do aim to get a few down us when in a club. |

Completely agree.
If somebody is too d*unk then the issue of consent starts to become blurred, which nobody wants, as can *cough* ... Performance.
Having a few drinks though is totally fine and expected I would have thought. |

That's our way of thinking. But plenty seem to think drinking is a bad thing. They bang on about you shouldn't need it to swing etc
Swinging for us isn't just about the sex, it's a genuine social thing. We enjoy interacting with people also and the banter, laughs, drinks & build up are as important as the end result. If we didn't feel that connection in a club we wouldn't play regardless of attraction |

Couldn't agree more. If people can do all of that completely sober then good luck to them but they shouldn't look down on those of us that like a few drinks to loosen up. |

A few drinks is fine, but I avoid with a passion, anyone who has to be d*unk before they will play...... normally a woman
When I first started all this I HAD to have a few drinks, nerves took over. But now I only drink socially, for 1 I hate being d*unk in public, a d*unk man is bad enough, but a d*unk woman.....urgh.
And secondly I don't want to do something or someone I will be ashamed of the next day |

Depends on the event for us, if it's a fet event where we are planning to play then alcohol is a big no no, if no fet play is planned then a few drinks can be great, however getting d*unk is again a no.
I also personally wouldn't play with anyone who was clearly d*unk, it's always been a turn off for me. |

everything in moderation...
I only drink non-alcohol beers, ciders and wines in clubs because i have seen people d*unk and to be honest.... d*unk aint sexy!!!!!
if you are not in a position to make reasonable judgements in this situation, not something you should ever be doing.... |

My regular club is The Vanilla Alternative where visitors use the bar and snug areas to socialise from when they arrive up until about 11pm. Meeting old friends and finding new people to socialise with, forms an important part of any party night there. Without the bar, this important element of the evening would just not happen, or certainly not to the extent that it does.
Lots of people like a couple of drinks to loosen up and there is nothing wrong with that. It's most unusual to find people who have d*unk too much at VA's although, like anywhere, it does happen on the odd occasion. |

We don't drink very often but as others have said, it's a nice social thing to do so we would happily meet up for a couple of drinks. We would be put off by people who go over the top with the alcohol though.
As with most things in life, people will have differing opinions. As long as they don't push their own in other's faces then we don't mind if the people we meet have a drink or are happy without |

A couple of years ago there was this woman at a club, totally off her face and could hardly stand up. Needless to say, no one wanted to entertain her and she kept harrasing people. It made me very uncomfortable.... It's the last time I took the wife with me! |

Depends if people can hold their drink doesn't it/ We all behave differently don't we/ Some of us get a bit smoochy and soppy whilst others get a bit nasty and arsey when they've had a few. It's a bit of a dangerous cocktail and recipe' for problems if done to excess.
Not sure what the answer is really. We used to take a bottle with us to chams and that was plenty as we made it last. If you go to clubs that sell it I daresay the temptation to have too many by some is just too great and that's when problems occur.

Heavy drinking and swinging for me don't mix. Social drinking is fine by me but I rarely drink alcohol at all when I go to clubs because I drive and prefer totally sober sex. |

Drinking is all good although we would not play with anyone who is pissed...we want to remember the fun and would like them.to remember too....
We have seen domestics in the club a few times and everytime it has been one or both are pissed...such a turn off. |

But there's a huge difference between having a drink while swinging and needing a drink to swing |
