So annoying when i read the club reviews and they not true..i read the reviews every time i come on.Shouldnt they be put on to give your true opinions of a club ,good or bad feedback but not because the owners have pestered you to death to put a good review on..

I would agree with that however the two clubs I've attended the reviews have been spot on to my knowledge. If you have an idea this is happening maybe you should try reporting the review/poster as in the long run it'll just ruin it for everyone else!

You also have to remember that one persons horrible club may be another persons fabulous club!

I think all feedback from the people who have been to the club should be honest..bad as well as good,if the club dont know what you like and dont like how can you improve

Simply, your opinions differ from other people's opinions. If you don't like the club don't go there again.

Have you left an 'accurate' review of the same club on the same night? In your opinion of course.

There's little point complaining that you've had 'carry' remarks - I can't see any and since the only person who knows which club it is is you then people can't be very specific.

It's no different to a verification. Just someone's opinion. Reviews should always be taken with a pinch of salt.

Just for balance. I Was reading reviews of a particular club. 4 reviews from one night. 2 it was brilliant and busy. 2 it was dead and crap. Maybe times they went was dufferent I dunno. But it left me not having a clue lol.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I leave what I believe are accurate reviews of my experience of a club. The last club I went to wasn't great, for me, and my review reflected that. The other reviews for the same night are different.

If you are in a club and have lots of people surrounding you it may be that you experience it as busy and not notice that it's empty elsewhere.

OP, I didn't read anything catty on here. Much like reviews, we all experience things in different ways and colour that with our expectations.

I think the review system could be better on here as it lends itself to bias and abuse when people leave bad reviews. BUT as a club, how are we going to improve if people don't leave honest reviews? If you had a not so great night at a club, then say so in the review section or contact the club directly.

I too read reviews on here on certain clubs and can't believe they are talking about the same club I have been to, but that is their opinion and what is a dump for me, may be someone elses palace.

Like the lifestyle itself, it is horses for courses and we should respect the opinion of others whether we agree or not.

I think it's difficult for a member of staff at one club to leave a negative review for another club and have it taken seriously!

We definitely know which you mean and to be fair that club that night had lots of people that knew each other and therefore for them was always going to be a good night.

Those on the fringes would be left looking around for the faults which to be honest there are a few once you take away the reason we all go, to meet people and socialize etc. As with all clubs they're only as good as those that attend.

We should have seen the signs when we contacted the organisers of the large group that were there and didn't get so much as a no thanks.

Gosh I am now getting paranoid that it's our club that you are talking about!!? There is only one night ever that we have offered a 'holiday' and it was tickets for Swingfields next year and they were won by Man_wife86; the draw was done on stage in front of everybody. We had DJ's in but never said 'best DJ's ever' so please put me out of my misery and tell me if it's us as I would like the chance to right and wrongs!

We have read negative club reviews (eg of La Chambre) for nights we have attended and found they describe events that never happened. Opinions are fine, and often reading an opinion coupled with the profile of the person who wrote it can be even more informative - but to needlessly try to mislead is inexcusable.

Imagine for a second this was a football site and there was a section for reviewing football teams. You know already what will happen. Manchester United fans will swear blind that theirs is the greatest football team in their reviews, whilst Leeds and Liverpool fans will be slagging Man Utd off as much as they can.

The same happens here. In reality people tend to "do the rounds" and will visit a number of clubs, but for whatever reason, one will be their favourite, that they will stick up for and promote, as if to say "my club is better than your club", as if that made them feel better about themselves too. Worse still, some people treat the reviews as a personal blog, listing their invariably great nights out at their favourite club.

Unlike the OP, I won't read the club reviews any more for that reason. If I know someone whose been I'll ask their honest opinion, else I'll take a chance and find out for myself, form my own opinion and be a winner or loser on the night, which is a chance I'm prepared to take.

I always leave an accurate review of any new clubs I attend or any special event at clubs I've been to. Facilities, cleanliness, ratios of men/women/couples, friendliness of staff, the ability to keep their customers safe etc.

Not how hot the customers were, whether I had fun (ie had a fuck)

as these are outside the clubs control.

If I had an issue with any club I would, and have, raised it with the management at an appropriate time. I don't think it is fair to just slag clubs off without at least giving them a chance. Too many do this; ex employees with an axe to grind, rival club owners, people who have been banned. All quite sad really.

Just like trip advisor- look at the best, look at the worst and a few in between. Then make your own mind up.

A club not so many miles away

I struggle with this tread. I attend many clubs and it frustrates me how many people leave a negative/positive review on what a bad/good night they have had. Surly the club review should be of the club itself, their facilities, decor, equipment, staff, prices etc not what or who was In there. You can attend the same club on two separate occasions and have a completely different experience depending on the people that attend. I understand that if the OP was expecting certain things and they were not honoured, I'd be niffed too but the club cannot be wholly responsible for the attendance. That might have been a busy night for them

Club reviews have to be taken with a pinch of salt I find. After all we all have different tastes and interests. One mans paradise can be another mans pit.

I have known people to leave bad reviews of clubs, simply because they didn't get laid!! How the hell is it the clubs fault that someone didn't get a shag

If you know there are false reviews of a club however it should be reported but you have to be able to back this up with facts as with any accusation.

I totally agree with this we ourself have left many good reviews about the clubs we have been to but heaven forbid you have anything bad to say about a club. We got backlash for having a say on how we felt in a club and how staff were and now have had loads of crap from them. Not what it's suppose to be about at all.

Not just for single guy we actually experienced this last night we left a review about how we didn't feel the staff were great and there was too many cooks in the kitchen giving the big I am but also stated we loved the actual club the rooms the owner the ppl ect. Ended up with a member of staff commenting on our review even though they weren't there on this particular night and was absolutely nothing to do with them they just like you to make ppl feel like they can't have an opinion and was very unprofessional of them to do so. Another member of staff emailed us and was very pleasant about it. We decided to go back last night and got a very frosty response and a certain lady with a stick up her arse going round saying stuff, very very very unprofessional it's like being back at school.

I have had to pick my words carefully when writing reviews, for a particular club that is popular but just not our cup of tea. I did for one, which I thought I had made as positive as possible, BTU then a friend messaged me and said, wow, I would not like to get a review from you, oops! On the other hand I have left some very favourable reviews for our favourite club, where we get up to lots of naughtiness ...

Hi the annoying thing that really gets us going is people who are actually working for the club in question and leaving fantastic reviews every single time.

Surely in these cases the review should be taken off of any particular club ?

Obviously most club reviews are a direct reflection of a couple or individuals experience of the night. Certainly, if you go to a club and have great sex, you are much less likely to post a bad review than you are if you find that you can't find anyone to suit your tastes. I've even read reviews from different couples at the same night in the same club which are completely contradictory, not even in agreement as to whether the club was busy or empty.

In addition to this, many people have a certain level of loyalty to their favourite club. If you read a bad review of "your club" then you feel inclined to try to balance this out with a good review of your own.

And unfortunately, you even get competing clubs posting reviews to try and put people off.

And do you have proof of this or is it just hearsay? As I have been to the club where you work and management were actually handing out leaflets with the fab swingers website asking for reviews off customers and this has never happened at any other club I have been to.

I personally attend most clubs in the northwest and have written honest reviews on all of them even the one that I work at as I feel as a customer attending the club I have as much right as anyone else.

I don't agree with staff constantly writing reviews but if you attend as a paying customer why not give your honest opinion x

I personally have not asked a customer to leave a review and the last review I left was on the 1st of January when I visited as a customer and that was also before I started working there.

I am not management, just merely an employee. If management feel the need to hand leaflets out, this is nothing to do with me and this is not something I would do.

People should leave an honest review of how they found the staff and the facilities. I feel I have always been more than welcoming to all customers and greatly appreciate any feedback x

Because I don't feel that people should have to be asked. If you have had a great night and want to share that then great but some people do not want to advertise which clubs they have visited. So why should they then feel pressured from staff to put a review on?

Sometimes word of mouth is more powerful x

A club not so many miles away

Why do people feel the need to continually write a review on the same club?? Good bad or indifferent, unless the club offers something additional to write about that it didn't before on your last visit, then it's pointless. People are not commenting on the club but what a great/bad night they have had!! Either that or they are just using It for advertising purposes which in itself is a bias account anyway. I only ever write one review unless there is something different to say about the club ie improvements

I always put a review on after a night at a club. Usually to thank staff for their hospitality. It also shows consistency. And it's a good way of finding people who attended on the same night.

I have no issue with being asked to review as long as they understand it will be an honest review.

If you had a not so great night at a club, then say so in the review section or contact the club directly.

I too read reviews on here on certain clubs and can't believe they are talking about the same club I have been to, but that is their opinion and what is a dump for me, may be someone elses palace.

Good comment - most will not put up a critic about clubs as then the "locals" get very abusive (has happened to us)... So clubs which are rubbish and have wrong verifications from "locals" get a big avoid from us and we don't go again

We attended a club recently, had a good time, chatting to people and lots of (naughty) giggles so we left a review stating that. Someone left a review for the very same night and said that they thought it was a disappointing time and didn't enjoy it at all.

It's down to the individual, their expectations, and what happens to them during the course of the night as to whether they enjoy themselves or not, the same with any situation.

I do read reviews, but I don't go expecting to have an amazingly fabulous time because I know it might not happen that way. And if I think it is a rubbish night, I'll go another time and see if it's any better. The only way to form an opinion is to explore all avenues

Different staff now, so if it's where Lollipop lead us all to believe, they don't hound you now. I did leave a review a lot quicker than I normally would, due to this and emails asking the same. But having been back recently, this want the case.

I tend to not leave a scathing review, I'd tell management and see if that changes things, if not I just don't go back.

Which sometimes can be a shame. But I like clean, filthy fun, not smelly environments.

Speaking with ones feet, is always easier.

I recently reported a review where the reviewer had rated it "Avoid" and then went UNLOS. Apparently the reviewer was suggesting that if a club advertises a gg night it should ensure that there are ggs present. The review has been taken down.

The club ratings are not granular enough (avoid, ok, fun, fabulous ...erhm, that's it!), far better to have a club review with sub categories..e.g. facilities, attendance, vibe, value with a star rating of 1-5 stars for each one.

these can then be averaged out, which over time will really show those clubs that shine (vs. the ones where the owners are so nice that nobody leaves a bad review)

it gets tiring reading "Attended this club last night, the owners are great people, had a fabulous night"

"Imagine for a second this was a football site and there was a section for reviewing football teams.

Yes but we all know that Liverpool is the greatest football team "

About a year back we posted an honest review about our local clubs new pricing strategy, which we had been visiting for quite a while, and were banned because of it

Previous to this,we had had some great nights there, actually ramped it on Fab and previously posted good reviews on here, and taken quite a few new friends there.Said club is apparently very quiet these days, and lucky to get a couple of reviews a month, but hey ho,we're still having fun-a-plenty

Good to read such a balanced point of view. Reviews are one person's opinion, interesting to read, can be informative, can be misleading, can just be a different experience to another's - going to the club yourself is the best way to form your own opinion.

When we go to a club we go with the expectation of .........not knowing for sure what is going to happen, what the other pele there will be looking for etc.....we go with the attitude of - this will be a learning experience and a sexy adventure.

The same club can be different on different nights.....

Staff, hosts and guests can make all the difference, we know from experience, reviews are a good indication of a club as long as you ignore the "best club ever" drones from regulars and the "I didn't get laid, so it was crap" at the other end of the scale x

Surely in these cases the review should be taken off of any particular club ?

Those clubs that have the same profiles doing reviews over and over (whether staff or paying guests) put me off

It's not always clear who works where but it is obvious when the same profile is perm raving about the place. I treat it as another filter and avoid

Wembley

I generally re-review a club after a dozen or so visits spread over about 6 months

I try to write something about the organisers and the premises. Those pretty much remain unchanged over a short period of time

I also write something about the other people present on those evenings and about my experiences, which changes every so often and could be different for different people

Cannot remember even one instance where any club owner has pestered me into writing a review and I have visited atleast half a dozen clubs, dozens of times

Reviews from staff really wind me up. Come on!! How the hell are they impartial? They are getting paid to be there. No point in bleating on about how fantastic the club is. Just makes me think the opposite maybe true if they rely on that too often. Regulars know who works where and it just devalues the whole point of genuine reviews.

Always pick a vlub that is known to have good reviews... and if you don't believe the reviewers, go yourself to and see why they post such nice things about the clubs.

My happy place is a nice little club in Colchester, friendly, welcoming, and above all... FUN!

What's annoying to us is when a bad review is posted you can bet your life there will be a massive influx of fantastic reviews.mainly club regulars trying to bury the bad review. I think reviews should be sorted into good and bad so ppl can make a informed choice

I have.........

but i am a believer in not saying anything in a review on here that i haven't said to the club owner themselves..... so at least they know what is coming....

the problem with the review section is sometime what is being "reviewed"....

some will review the club and their facilities...

some will review just the night they were there...

some will review the night based on the people who were there.....

and because there is no consistancy and opinions are like arseholes (everyone has one) no two people are going to see the same thing the same way....

Surely one of the main reasons that few give the review section on this site any credence is that the overwhelming number are positive.

We know of many who have negative views of particular clubs but their seems very little confidence in posting them.

A quick look at how negative reviews are rounded upon give some hint as to why people keep their views to themselves.

Other sites offer then chance for balances reviews. People seem to be able to make subjective comments about hotels or restaurants but not, it seems, clubs.

Wonder why that is?

Completely agree with this.

There is no consistency to whati s being reviewed.

If I have visited a new club, I try to review the club based on the facilities, cleanliness and the interactions with the staff.

I might have picked a quiet evening or time to visit and that isn't the fault of the club.

And is it the club's problem if 'I didn't get to play'

Well one... I never expect that as primarily it's the social relaxed aspect I am going for and two.

That's up to me to make and effort to interact.

I appreciate I am viewing this slightly differently, as if I was a single lady or couple then would have to also consider the control element of single males in the club.

If I like a club, I try to go back again (personally to consider if it was any busier etc)

But it is a system that is flawed, and has to be taken with a slight pinch of salt as a guide.

Maybe viewing the sort of people who go rather than what their opinions on the club are.

Ultimately, it' your own opinion that matters.

We always leave a review after our first visit to a club, then another if we re-visit and it was different - I wouldn't review it every week if nothing had changed. We usually get recommendations from others we have met in clubs or spoken to on here and know they are genuine. There's nothing worse than knowing someone works in a club and reading their constant reviews on their place, it's the same with event adverts the same people bumping the threads up over and over to make it look super busy but for me it has the opposite effect and makes it looks cliquey.

Totally agree staff have a number of adds when you partys you see the same old people leaving reviews and even using them to bump the number of people that maybe attending the parties Management should not be doing this and stop the staff from doing it to. .
