Your best bet is to go alone. If you are nervous about that then go when there us a social or event on that will attract newbies. While you will likely find people happy to meet you there, these sort of threads suggest most people are reluctant to go with a stanger

I know where you are coming from OP, I want to get down to Kestrels this Summer and break my club 'duck' but the thought of heading in alone not knowing anyone whilst assuming everyone else is in their own little cliques can be daunting!

The generally accepted advice I've seen on here is go along, be respectful, engage in conversation but don't be you pushy, talk to people civilly, don't ignore the male partner of a couple irrespective of whether you're straight or not, and you'll probably do ok!

Now I'm sure you know all that already of course and I'm teaching you to suck eggs here! Good luck - hope you get to a club soon

I must admit, I really want to go to a club, but not sure if it is best to go with someone else or by myself as not sure what to expect! X

We met two club newbies on our last visit to a nw club...

a lady that had just finally decided to take the plunge.. and a guy that was so nervous... but so glad he went.

Just pop along. Mr always says treat it like a pub with lingerie and better scenery..

Never have any expectations except to meet and chat to like minded people.

Make a point to chat to people, if couples talk to them both...

Worse thing in the world is people ( be it singles or couples) that sit in the corner refusing to talk to anyone or make eye contact and then saying that they had a bad night.

We will always make the effort to speak to people but sometimes people do make it obvious that they dont really want disturbing..

If all that happens is you talk to people, see some things that may make you go Then it should still be a good night/day.

There seems to be lots of men asking to be shown the ropes as they dont want to go in alone. I and many other ladies go along by ourselves and we had the same apprehensions and nerves but we got over the door and lived to tell the tale!

Maybe you guys that want to experience a club shd meet and go in together as single males instead of trying to get a woman to get you in as a couple.

TO be honest I really dont enjoy going as a single to most clubs.

Have found that even as a single lady you get a little bit left on the side by some. Recently went downstairs at a club to sit in the hottub while Mr was busy with a lady in a group situation...

Tried talking to the couples in the hottub and was totally ignored.. So its just nicer to go with someone you have to talk too.. Thats male or female.

I only tend to go to a club without Mr for a social night out with girlie friends.. I then watch out for them.

I don't mind going in as a single male, I just want to know what to do when I'm there, that person to be friendly and show you ropes when inside (not literally) sure we know how to do most things, just the etiquette etc

You'll have a job visiting there as I believe they've got to close down.

The staff/owners at all the clubs I have been to, give newcomers a tour. This is especially true of Kestrel / AbFab as the club is so large and there are so many different areas to explore

Try an afternoon if your not wanting too big a crowd. This will give you thechance to have a look around to familliarise yrself with the layout of club plus meeting staff.
