As a newbie, would you recommend we go to Bristol Gardens or Kestrels?
We were going to Kestrels next week, but, reading the reports on here, it seems at Bristol Gardens any playing takes place out of the way in the rooms. Whereas at Kestrels it seems to be a bit more in the open.
We wondered if it might be a gentler introduction at Bristol Gardens for a first visit? |

Playtime is more regimented at Bristol gardens and the spa section is really nice but there is to be no contact or your literally get into trouble with the fun police. Everything is behind closed doors.
In Kestrels the environment is more open in that you can be sexy in the jacuzzis and pool and you can go to an open room if you wish to watch or be watched. But like Bristol Gardens there are closed rooms too. Is is much bigger too and my experience is there will be more people at Kestrels.
You can take things at your own pace at both venues.
I prefer Kestrels. It is more relaxed. Bristol Gardens has a reputation for being uptight and hides the fact that it's a sex club to its detriment. That is my own experience too.
Where ever you, go a few times and don't make your mind just on your first visit about clubs. It takes a few visits to find yourselves and see a club at its best x
Hope you like it! |

Hadn't taken in the fact that you'd be there on a Wednesday which can be busy as it becomes Ab Fabs at 6pm (no extra charge ) and continues until midnight . I've been to both venues and agree with the previous posters . If push came to shove I'd go for Kestrels as is it more relaxed when it comes to things . The staff are brilliant at Kestrels and the recent changes made have enhanced the facilities. There is also a proper pool at Ks which tends to be the hub of things whereas BGHS has the cold pool . I may even pop along on the 1st so here is at least one person going ! |

Both are fine as newbies.
BG is more spa less swing.
Kestrals more swing, but as much or as little as you want. Abfabs continuation on a Wednesday is also fine.
We took a single F friend there for her first insight, and she survived
You don't have to play, and I say that in truth - we've been often and done nothing
Enjoy! |

Depends on what you're looking for.
BGHS does have rules which are easy to follow and you only get told off if you break them. Pestering people, playing in the spa, etc. It's very relaxed and friendly. You can get used to the idea pop into the play rooms as much or little as you want. Sat sun nights are couples only.
Or kestrals which is much more of a swingers club where play happens anywhere. We haven't been for a while as whenever we did we felt pestered and followed by single men who seemed to assume that you wanted them to join in, even if you said no.
Horses for courses and same people could enjoy both depending on what they wanted from the visit. |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |

Those guys are well travelled...it used to be like watching a runaway train as they looped around Chams! |

Can well believe it, that's why the only club we go to at the moment is BGHS. Those pesky rules mean that pushy singles are shown the door. Leaving single men who chat and interact. |

Been going to BGHS a few times a year for over 20 years and altho it's spotlessly clean and well kept, the 'rules'don't seem to have moved with the times at all. Weekdays are exceptionally male oriented as well. Try Abfabs |

"Thanks for all the replies. We're going to try Kestrels first "
Let hope its a first visit of many.
One thing to remember is to take flip flops as its quite a trek around and is cold on the feet otherwise. Its not the best time of year to go as its chilly- but hey its meant to be spring !! Usually Bristol Gardens is easier in the winter as its all indoors. Also re member the ID requirements etc.
Use the day as wander around - there may be no opportunity to play with a lone female - usually a few couples around though.
And you can always tick of a few fantasies - sex in a pool / hot tub etc.
Main rule - remember just say no if you don't fancy something/one - the other there should help out ...
Main thing - enjoy.
any questions feel free to message.
