I've stopped there, it's a decent enough place as Premier Inns go

We've stayed in the village a couple of times but don't think it's worth it at practically double the price of the holiday inn express next door. Don't get me wrong I like a nice hotel and will happily pay a lot more but if you're going to Chams, chances are it's just a place to crash. Also both the times we've stayed at the village we've been woken up at 8:00 with hundreds of screaming kids playing football on the fields right outside the windows.

So holiday inn express m6 j10 gets our vote.

Use amigo cars (I have the number if you want) as that's the taxi company the club uses and they don't bat an eyelid about where you are going and have always been cheap and reliable.

Cheers. D

"is the holiday inn closest to chams and which one is it"
It's now called "Holiday Inn Express : Birmingham - Walsall". It's on the South Eastern side of the roundabout, 1st right @ KFC!

There also a Holiday Inn to the North Western side of the roundabout. Just to confuse matters, it's now called "Holiday Inn : Walsall M6, Jct.10", the HIE used to have "J10" in the title!

Central

A heads up on Holiday Inn Express etc - if you book via them directly, website etc, then you can claim points for future but you don't get these if you book via another route, such as expedia and others. Holiday inn do a price match guarantee too, so if you see it elsewhere and it's cheaper, you're secure.

South East

I am a regular at the Holiday Inn Express too. You can walk over to Starbucks and the bar for food and a better bar if you like.

I also use Amigo cars when needed, they're great, fixed reasonable fares and more importantly, discreet
