The Daily Mail website has an item today on Eureka Club in Kent used by swingers.

Due to noise complaints 8 'sleepover' caravans have to be removed.

That's what I was thinking, what on earth were they doing and why the dickens weren't we invited

really don't understand the councils reasoning behind this just as much noise coming from other areas in the club as well and its miles away from mainstream housing ,

but I guess clubs of this nature have to jump through hoops in order to stay open,

We were just talking about this and wondering why it's suddenly come about. Has a new resident suddenly twigged what exactly Eureka is?

Apparently someone commented on coming across naked people while walking in the woods, they would have to be on eurekas land to do that!

Ghost Town

The article says the club is situated on 23 acres of land in the grounds of Pennis Wood ?

The clubs website says there is approximately 6 acres of historic and ancient woodland called Pennis Woods, within our grounds.

But i can't find info online as to whether there is a public right of way or access to Pennis wood.

The really does seem like another version of Nimby-ism.
