there have been... in durham, in sunderland, in middlesborough, in yarm
all it takes is one person with courage to organise it.... it doesn't have to be a grand affair
I am proud to say i was the first person in newcastle to take the plunge and organise a "newcastle social" (as they are now) many moons ago....
that was held in the upstairs social area of a pub.... 120 people from all over the country came...
people will support them...... but if everyone waits on someone else to organise something, invariably nothing will get done |

Have been think of starting to run one in Durham, every 3 months. Plenty of places have free rooms to use, just not had the free time. Watch this space will see what I can do. But would anyone turn up is big question |
