Those who have been.
How did you manage doing your hair/make up etc?
Obviously we'd need a generator to supply power, but looking for tips on what to take to make things more bare able in a tent for 3 nights. |

We take gas powered curling tongs and straightners, and a hairdryer that connects to a battery xx |

Ms Devine " . Get yourself down the doctors and say you are going away for a weekend with hubby and ask for the tablets that stop your period from coming you can only take them for a few days at a time but they do the trick , no heels go for nice flats and as for hoop!!!! Sorry but lost with that one |

"Our first time at swingfields this year... Little worried about dress code! Is it more like festival wear? Shorts, wellies etc.(for women)..????? Thanks " Hi, we wear whatever the weather dictates. Though it is a good old mix of sexy, practical and downright filthy! Whatever you feel comfy in really. We have guys who spend the whole weekend in PVC, whatever the weather |

For all of the ladies who are wondering what to wear, please feel free to wear whatever makes you comfy and sexy! People wer anything from lacy and sexy to rubber, pvc, leather, basques, stockings and corsets. Some wear very little at all but it is down to each individual to decide |

I am coming from the highlands and will be bringing wellies (blinged up) and all my scanty clothes. It will feel tropical compared to our weather up here ?? lol xx |

If you've got long hair, put them in pig tails! I did and they look cute, keep your hair out of the way and tidy and they are good to pull on.
As for clothes, heels really aren't practical but sandal wedges would work. I will be taking my lovely purple wellies which look funky with shorts. Night time...well I took all sorts but wore my dressy outfit for all of 2 hours before it was in a heap in the play tent! lol! |

As everyone else has said. Comfy, sexy, warm, fancy dress...Think I lived in shorts and dresses but have some better stuff for this year A mirror for your tent for after showers to do your face. Didn't have to worry about electrics as I was in a big motorhome last year and thankfully have friends with one this year but the beauty bar sounds like a winner. |

"Just wondering ladies I don't own a pair of wellies is it worth investing in some??"
There was no need for them the first year (scorching weather) Was a bit damp briefly last year one of the days and some people wore wellies wandering around. I didn't take any last year but have got a pair of short ones for this year just in case. You can get a cheap fun pair in Primark x |

"Been looking at she wees!! Do you think there is a need ??? "
Shepees are fab for festivals. bit of a nack to using them, but once you're used to it. It's easy. I would think they were essential for swing fields though. The toilets were pretty good. I take mine mainly so I don't have to make any sort of bodily contact with the inside of a portaloo but also handy for a pee in a bottle in the wee (giggle) small hours when you can't be arsed to get out of your tent. Nappy bags make convenient and sanitary covers until you can get to a sink to wash it properly.

Go to GP ask for Mefenamic acid, if taken on the first day it will stop it long enough to enjoy swingfields

Nice? Well as long as you don't count the single portaloo in the top part of the camping field giggle. A shepee was needed for that one.

Which I had known, have decided on flip flops |

"Just wondering ladies I don't own a pair of wellies is it worth investing in some??Bring a cheap pair - if you don't need them - fab - if you do you've got them .... win win "
Even in hot and sunny and dry weather the grass gets dewy at night so if you have to make a nighttime dash to the loo in flip flops your feet get cold and wet. Then it can take ages to get them warm again. So a cheap pair of wellies is very handy. I get the ankle high ones, easier to pack and a bit more comfortable to wear. Primarni had some as did many of the cheapie shoe places like matalan and wynsors. |

If any lovely ladies have spare ones which they don't mind taking along for anyone in a similar situation, perhaps you could drop a couple off at the Info Tent and we would pass them on. We don't have a supply - will perhaps look at it for next year for any emergencies x x |
