Was planing on going to Connections for New Years eve but the website says it's closed until further notice due to a dispute eith the council. Does anyone know what the dispute is and how ong is it likely to go on for?

all we know is the council told them they have to close at midnight on new years eve  us and another cpl pland back in march to be in blackpool for new year and atend a club |

It has been general knowledge for months in Blackpool after a front page spread in the papers.
The club knew the score, but preferred to keep it quiet and deny anything, but
wish them well and good luck in there comeback attempt. |

it is fairly common knowledge in both the local papers and the coucil appeal notes in the past that they have had "Closing time" issues in the past... so it may be that have fragrantly violated "one rule too many" this time.....
which is a shame... as you don't want clubs going out like this..... |

Gutted to hear about the issues with the council.
I spent a few Thursday afternoons relaxing in the club last year.
Hopefully they will get the consent they need and they reopen.
If anyone hears any news please post.
Also where to go now for my Thursday afternoon treat? |

You could always come to Townhouse for now for some afternoon delight? The 3rd Thursday of every month is our Greedy Girls day and you don't have to be a member. It's a lot of fun!

ive been told the new club is almost done now and is looking very nice and there hoping to open around Easter time and have had planning permission and a licenced bar granted and can open till 3am so no problems with the council this time  |

4 weeks ago you posted this and there is still no NEW connections! Why don't you just be honest with people and tell them you're now using your hotel again! The Touchwood hotel on St chads road..not so sure the council would be pleased again tho |
