Surely because it's a license to sell alcohol.

My canteen at work sells fosters 0.0 so think they should be able, but this is from common sense point of view

Not licensing law

Yes you are allowed to sell non alcoholic drinks without a licence to sell alcohol

The common mistake is about the storage of other peoples alcohol and serving it. You need a licence if you store and then serve other peoples alcohol to them. So if you pour their drinks out for them. If you don't have a licence, what you should actually do is store the alcohol and then put the alcohol on the bar with a glass (if needed) and let the customer pour their own alcohol!! *rolls eyes*

It's a silly thing really as you are still providing a service to store the booze, but once you serve it to someone by pouring and presenting it, that's where the licence is needed.

so if that is the case... why dont clubs sell non alcoholic beers, wines, ciders ect.....

surely for those people who drive to clubs... aren't they missing out on a trick rather than people always carrying in their own?

We always did sell non alcoholic drinks before we had a licence, so no idea why other clubs don't do it. If the alcohol is 0.0% it is just like a soft drink...low alcohol is obviously different. xx
