Really they are very different events. Swingfields is an independent festival for lifestylers in it's own right and the V.A event is held in the grounds of the club as an extension of the club. I am sure someone will shoot me down but I see them as two very different events. People I know who have been to both, like both as they offer different things. It is down to personal preference as always x  |

Went to both this year, both were brilliant weekends but we preferred VA.
Sleeping in a tent sucks especially if the weather is a bit crap. We grabbed a hotel five minutes down the road from VA which made for a better experience.
Swingfields is definitely better during the daytime as there was a lot more socialising and stuff to do (Wet T-shirt/y-front etc) but VA was the hands down winner for the night-time. Swingfields ran out of beer at about 11pm and you had a choice of the bar tent where there was a d*unk DJ who kept messing up or the other tent that had some god awful Country & Western thing going on.
VA on the other hand had choice between a huge inflatable marquee with an amazing band and a foam party up front instead of a mosh pit, or stay in the club itself where they had a good, not d*unk, DJ. And they didn't run out of beer.
Why not go to both next year? We are.  |

We went to them both this year and have pencilled them both in the diary for next year. Swingfields is promising to be bigger and better and the VA festival of fun was fantastic 
Both of the events are very different but as friendly and "social" as you want to make them.

I have attended both the last 2 years and I will be attending both next year I hope... Already got my Swingfields ticket and will get my the Vanilla Alternative one when they are available,
Both festivals are amazing, different to each other abs highlights of my year. |
