Having been asked to hold an under forties night at the club we manage in manchester, we are wondering how much interest there would be, if we get enough interest we will look at arranging,

It was a suggestion from one of our patrons so we thought we would see what the general feeling about it was, obviously there would be other different nights also (maybe over 40's)
We want to encourage people to put they're ideas forward  |

I would think its for those people who don't want to wade through the wrinklies ! and want to guarantee there will be some playmates their own age

We go to fever as its under forties but also go to clubs to mix with all ages. The truth is you lots of people like different things so running loads of different nights can only help.
If it were down south we'd attend.

One of the reasons we don't attend clubs yet, judgemental people who seem too think the younger generation should look wrinkly already |

Age is just a number, wade through the wrinkles! We like all ages as long as they look after themselves!  |

Not in my area but all very well in theory however lots of fems have older partners if there was a under 40 night we couldn't go not could be go to a over 40 night.... |

whichever way you do it... people are going to scream ageist.... and you might just end up alienating sections of your clientele...
i bet if you had both an under 40 night... and an over 40 night... people from the other would have a hissy...
how many "age" threads do we see on the forums about being considered "too young" or "too old"..... |

Several clubs hold, or have held themed nights for under 40's.
The main problem is that they are only aimed at that age group - it's not a condition of entry.
No club will stop existing members of any age entering - which makes targeting a certain age group pointless.
Add the fact that many clubs don't ask for ID (just a name at the door!) - and how do you prove how old someone is? A rough guess? Bring your birth certificate?
Or chop them in half and count the rings?
