Couples rooms at clubs

I have visited several clubs since I started on this adventure 3-4 years ago and one of the things I really enjoy doing is watching (and occasionally joining in with) couples.

Now, all of the clubs so far have been more than happy to allow me as a single lady to enter the couples only room and watch or play. So imagine my surprise last night when visiting a new club for only my second time, that I wasn't allowed in!

On leaving the club (very soon after being told this) I spoke to the manager who confirmed that indeed, only couples can use the room. His reason . . . .because it gets too busy in there!!

Since when??

What are your thoughts on this?

Have to agree, it really annoys me when single guys come in the couples only room, single women is just the same. if i wanted the attention of all id play in an open area.

Yes, I can understand the rule about not letting single males in because it would be packed to the rafters, but the odd single fem? No harm surely.

I dont want to watch from the _iewing window as men see it as an open invitation to start a conversation or worse still, grope

Odd, but rules are rules. If its couples only its probably to keep the male to female ratio in balance

Single ladies are welcomed in the couples room at Chams. It was one of the first questions i asked on joining 2 years ago.

dont really see why clubs should bend the rules just for females, wrong for clubs to do this, if its a cpls room then its just for cpls.

Eureka have enforced the couples only rule there for a long time & banned 1 woman from the club for persistantly breaking it

couples rooms should be just that. Plenty of other rooms for 3-somes with singles

You were probably invited in error then. Just stick to the rooms where you can play. If you're going to leave every time a club enforces its rules you're not going to be attending them for very long

Can't see the problem.

As has been said - single guys would be laughed off the forums if they said they'd quit membership of a club for not allowing them in couples only areas.

I'd suggest not trying Xtasia - their new couples room is what it says on the tin !!

Surely the club management won't be too upset to lose your patronage when they can have someone willing to accept the rules in the club instead.

wholeheartedly agree with this. And having chatted to many guys on fab sadly this _iew that single women deserve special treatment really irritates me. And it takes a lot to wind me up but if I was in a couples only room I would welcome a single guy over a single woman any day.

op I see it states your bi , so if there was ladies only room would it then be ok for couples to enter ? surely people go into the couples room and not a open room due to the atmosphere and dynamic within that room, so struggling to understand why it would be acceptable for you to go in and possibly spoil other people's fun

i am guessing the clubs you have been in are actually in the minority... because for the clubs in the north east, couples rooms mean couples only.....

Actually in chasm the notice is in the corridor. It clearly states "couples only beyond this point".

A couples room is for couples duh! It's not rocket science.

There is a distinction between couples only and invite only rooms.

But since no-one is checking marriage licences at the door you can enter a couples room with a new playmate.

Single women often get advantages in clubs but it doesn't mean that we are above the rules. No still means no, we'd be out of order if we got handsy and you can't go where you're not entitled or you don't qualify to go.

I think some are missing the point on this. A couples only room only comes into effect on a mixed night. When its couples only in the club, everyone can go anywhere and there are never any issues, however on a singles, and couples night, there needs to be somewhere where couples can go, who just wish to meet up with other, genuine, couples.

We like to get to know other couples, people who we can swop numbers with and then meet a week later if possible. Not two singles who've managed to hook up at the bar and may never see each other again. We want genuine couples.

We welcome any club ensuring that a couples room applies to those who hold a couples membership, and not singles who may just get lucky on the night, regardless of gender.

That's actually one of the issues.

Couples only; does not mean actual couples, nor couples only.

It means single men and their fb, or fwb, or couples, or single women. In 99% of cases.

Couples only actually just means no single men, and by that it actually means no single men without a fb or fwb.

A lot of single men are looking for a fb/fwb simply to get into venues cheaper and into couples only.

It's only ever single men that face restrictions 99% of the time.

As some couples like separate room swap, they cant enforce a come together stay together policy.

Anyone that thinks couples only means they are playing with married or living together couples

sorry but that is unlikely. Just look at the number of couples profiles on here, that are not couples in the 'in a relationship' sense.

And couples are not excluded from any party nights either, in fact where as some women get in for very little, if you do the maths, single men bringing a female at couples rates then the single male gets in for less than half the price and the single female for free.

When we go to clubs, I pay half the rate of a single guy and my Mrs gets in for free

We've never had an issue taking a single fem anywhere with us and have never been told she cant go into any room.

We have used couples only rooms as a 3, because I like to be watched sometimes (I'm with 2 shit hot women, of course I want to be seen

)but in an open playroom its not as relaxed as I have to watch for uninvited touching and in a private playroom we cant be seen
