"Nobody been ??"

Hotel prices have rocketed over the past couple of weeks.

I can provide you with the name of a hotel but it's a two star City standard and close to the major museums; bunk beds and a basic continental breakfast.

Check expedia, but you will be paying much more than me.

As to clubs, the only one that I would recommend is Club Banana and get there before 9.00 pm.

We stayed at the amstel botel a few times. Ok it was a few years ago. Was cheap and just 5 mins walk from the train station.

Banana bar was very entertaining . Think it was 40 euros . All you can drink for 2 hrs and hours of laughs. Also stayed at the boatel . Great value for money .

We go to Amsterdam at least 3 times a year and have stayed at pretty much every hotel in the centre from shitty to top notch. If you've got the money, look at short-let apartments - some very nice ones from about 50 euros per night.

many (many, many) years ago stayed at Rho hotel just off Dam Sq a couple of times ... if you go, check the shelf on the cellar head for a bag of goodies that we stuck up there after spotting where the dealer in the passage at the side of the hotel put his stash. Never seen anybody so angry

disclaimer; I was an easily led 18 year old at the time.

We have just booked the Ibis Styles for Frisky's 40th next month.....

It is our first trip to Amsterdam, so we are looking forwards to a weekend of culture and naughtiness....lol

Hope you have lots of fun - we go to Amsterdam 2 or 3 times a year, but this year just once in September for T's 50th. If you choose to go on a canal boat trip, choose one of the cheese and wine trips because without a drink they can be a bit boring - a lot of the time you can only see the canal walls! Also, the horse and carriage tours are great fun - they usually go from Dam Square, or by Oude Kerk.

Thanks...

Frisky has an itinerary of places to go and things to do.

The only thing left to decide is where to go for adult fun. We are looking at Paradise club or Sameplace.

Sameplace appears to be a bit different from the norm but the dress code says sexy. So she isn't sure how daring to go and whether she can change there...

We've not been over there for a couple of years so not 100% on how it is now but we have been to Sameplace many times. They didn't have a changing room, we got changed in the club and then clothes were handed in to reception.

She can dress as daring as she wants, but if it is a fetish night then the men need to dress in some form of fetish gear - all black is usually enough.

It is very unlike any other Dutch club we've been to, but it is our favourite over there.

Went to banana bar last night for us both to watch pole dancers and have a drink .. 400 euros for both of us to have an hour with one of the girls .. no thanks ..

Went to sameplace afterwards . Awesome place with pub/bar like feel . Non pushy guys . Probably going again tonight

We even got propositioned on the 348 night bus by the driver :-0 ..
