LC single membership on couples night

Can a single F sign in a guy on a sat night if going as a couple? He does not have membership... I presume not but can anybody confirm either way .

He will have to join as a single male then you can both come in on his card

Or convert your card to a couples by paying the extra membership but he wouldn't be able to attend on his own using that card
