Hi all
We're thinking if breaking our 'Chams' virginity this friday, would you mind giving some honest opinions.
Hubby isn't comfortable with stripping off the minute we get there, how does that work? Also, the website says take your own booze, is that still the case? And is it rammed full of blokes being a Friday?
We usually go to Xtasia Fridays and Saturdays and will oh there If we're still unsure about here!
Thank you xx |

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
One of my favourite clubs. Its a shame its so far away. Have a word when you arrive to say you are new and they will show you around and you can decide whether or not its for you. And you do take your own booze, but they look after it for you. |

Usually a good mix of both couples and singles, the single males are well behaved but like anywhere you get the odd idiot from time to time which the management are very quick to deal with once aware of the situation. Re the "getting naked" its not really that drastic, couples have a separate changing area and you are provided with a towel to cover your bits with should you wish. Everyone is in the same boat so no one bothers. Ladies of course can dress as sexy as you like. It is still bring your own booze and the service and staff are great. Personally we rate the place highly and nowhere has even come close to date . Hope this helps xx |

The dress code for guys being towels/boxers or shorts ia because chams is classed as a wet club not night club style swinging club.
Friday nights are busy and this one is a st trinians theme party night club (optional to dress up accordingly for both sexes). Average ratio of 3 couples/single ladies to every 2 single guys. Hope that's of some help to you x

We're hoping to go this Friday too, but I noticed on your profile you're not looking for single guys. As Friday is a mixed night where single guys are welcome, have you considered a Saturday where just couples and single females are allowed ?
As Annie points out it's the St Trinians theme this week, which usually means it can get pretty busy. Dressing up to the theme is completely optional and there will be some in the lingerie of their choice and some just in towels. Nobody bats an eyelid. It's very relaxed.
First time I went here I felt very nervous about getting into a towel, and didn't feel to comfy about it before hand, but it's amazing how quickly that all goes away.
Honestly, the staff are Superb, and will show you around and make you feel welcome.
Infact, being shown around fully clothed, it's amazing how quickly that feels awkward when everyone else is in towels and lingerie etc - imagine how you'd feel if you've ever got dressed at a swimming pool and went back pool side because you left your goggles. Suddenly you feel out of place. Lol.
Ladies obviously dress as sexy as you dare, or just a towel.
Top tip for men, bring flip flops
Alcohol, bring your own, you hand it in when you get there, they will give you a locker key and write your locker number on your alcohol.Yyou then use your locker key to show bar staff which drinks are yours and settle up when you leave for any soft drinks.
Hope that helps,
D

Chams is a fantastic place. The staff are friendly and helpful and most the members are respectful. I'd go more often if I had the transport.
Friday nights are busy from my experience. Plenty of single men which is ideal for me. Also a nice amount of couples. I definitely agree with the poster who said take flip flops. The themed nights are lots of fun. |

A great club and we enjoy the mixed nights. The guys are usually great but as with anywhere you get the odd towel twitcher. As for not feeling comfortable dressing down we are sure he will not find it an issue, towels or boxers or both.. MrH has a dressing gown he wears at dress down clubs, mainly because he carries his cigs and condoms in his pocket and he looks more out of place than those in just towels, not that it bothers him. Sure you will have a great night, a fab club.

"I went to cams for my first time. Staff and clientele so friendly. I never been back to a club in case they don't live up to cams. Highly recommend it x" I understand that a lot don't live up to chams in my eyes .

"For those first timers who are braving the towel for the first time, ask at reception when you first go in for a larger towel if your figure needs it!"
After all my blooming advice above I'm now sat here in the hotel realising I've forgotten both my towel and flip flops!
