Hi guys,
We went to Abfabs last night and were surprised that they charged us £50 to get in!
We know they put their prices up a little while ago saying that as they were full all the time they had to cover staffing costs and costs for cleaning etc. While we appreciate that with more people comes more costs etc, it seems to us (and we could be wrong) that they have put their prices up for a second time.
The thing is, at what point do you think that a club is too expensive? |

"Welcome to costs single blokes have to pay at clubs "
We think thats a slightly different topic, we all know why men have to pay more and whether or not you agree with it..there is a reason why that is.
Our question is more based around the fact that the costs are creeping up for no apparent reason.
(Its just a guess, but surely the costs there are going up the same for everyone by the same amount... so if a couple pays £50, the chances are a single man is still paying more than that) |

£50 is probably the upper limit, but at the end of the day it is ran as a profit making business. Ive seen cheaper entry to other clubs, but it all seems relative to what the clubs offer.
They need to set their prices to make a worthwhile profit, where they still get bums on beds
And another way of looking at it is how much it costs a couple to have a good night out. meal and drinks in the region of 40-50, drink cinema and snack. probably not much change from £50. |

was it the first visit.. or was it just a regular visit....
because my biggest bugbear is clubs that charge both membership and admission on first visit, because I believe it does put people off visiting other parts of the country clubs as it does add to costs... |

Yeah but again, they changed that from £10 per couple to £10 per person.
In answer to another comment, we have been a few times to the club so this for us was a regular visit. |
