Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Post here if you are interested in meeting up before the social for something to eat and a nice chat. A good opportunity to put names to faces before we go to the club.

Also, anyone have any ideas where a bunch of reprobates like us can go for drinks and food in that area?

Normally stay over at the premier inn next door. Always some of us meetvup in bar there. You get room discounts if you show _tasia card too....

does it serve food all day, I am leaving home about 9am and it says approx journey time 6.5 hours, providing no roadworks on the M6

and is it near the hotel?

To those who live around/familiar with the area. Is there anything nice around? Both in terms of food/snacking places and places to see?

Looking to make a weekend of it. Considering whether i should change my train times; so i arrive earlier and maybe leave later?

It's just like getting on a bus, so don't panic and the stops are all well marked, so you'll find West Brom easy enough! Ask when you get off the train at Wolves where the tram stop is and they'll show you I'm sure.

Have you booked train tickets yet? If not go on the Chiltern Line from Marylebone and get off at Birmingham Snow Hill which is where the trams start from.

Yeah, there's a tram line that goes from Birmingham to Wolverhampton, with West brom as one of the stops inbetween.

Think he's going from Euston to Wolverhampton, which is the other end of the Tram line, so nice easy journey through to West Brom from there.

I remember being in Stourbridge with an ex from down here and she genuinely thought they were all speaking a foreign language!

This post is to find out who wishes to meet before an already arranged social at Xtasia on 1st Feb, so going into Birmingham city centre is not really a good idea, especially as many people are staying at the same hotel close to the club.

Well there is the Foam party on the Friday night at Xtasia, then the social on the Saturday night and chill out and relax on the Sunday afternoon/evening, with hardly any staggering to do between the premier inn and the club lol.

I'm doing the full weekend at the club and can't see myself getting bored somehow

We've been recommended a good place by the Xtasia owners but thanks for letting us know. We may well end up staying in the hotel anyway, but not everyone is staying in the same hotel so we'll see.

West Bromwich is pretty depressing! I'd advise meeting in the hotel bar fir food & drinks. Alternatively there is another Premier Inn nearby with a nice bar & restaurant called "Table Table" can't remember exactly where, but if you do a search for Premier Inn, West Bromwich, you'll find it. You're staying in West Bromwich Central, it's the other one

I doubt many would disagree that West Brom isn't the nicest of places (I lived just down the road for 5 years) but however well intentioned the comments are, it's all a bit meaningless when the location of any pre-social drinks is clearly going to be determined by the location of Xtasia and the 2 hotels everyone is staying in.

Exactly! I'm nervous about going to clubs etc. It's all new to me. If I had the chance to meet some people I've gotten to know from here at a gathering that's happening at a pub anyway, I would welcome it.
