I've been going to townhouse for over a year now, had some fab times and met loads of lovely people.
But my first visit as a single was completely different experience.
I used to have much more confidence going as a couple, but going as a single seemed to knock my confidence.
It seems singles in General have felt left out, not just the play side (that's not the main reason I go) but socially too. Both for males and females. I was shocked to hear that a single female also feels a bit left out and ends up sitting at the bar with the bar staff for company. The owners are wry aware of the drop in singles. Single ladies don't come as there are no single men, and vice versa.
So the owners want to attract more singles and on my last two visits it's been nice to see new people turning up. I've had a good time again socially and found that I do still love the place.
There's to be bigger changes next year and I'm looking forward to finding out what they are.
So to any new singles who fancy attending, go for it! But don't have any expectations. Come see what it's like, chat with people and watch what goes on. Get a feel for the place and learn to become comfortable with it. Then the fun begins! |
