Clubs in Leeds

We are going to Leeds on the 29th. We are thinking of trying a club for the first time. Are there any clubs in leeds? How do you go about things in a club? Dress code? New to this so all help much appreciated. Cheers |

isis is a very friendly club...just treat it like a night out in a bar and chat to people.
dress smart casual, and the woman some nice lingerie if you decide to get changed later. |

There are also Flexparties every second week, but they're not really a club and as I have never been (they are couples only) I can't really say much about them.
Isis is a great place. Bit small and no Jacuzzi, but friendly people and staff, and I've had some excellent nights there. Thinking of going to their NYE party too!  |

we have asked about this before....they cant get a jacuzzi up the stairs apparently so there wont be one in the club.

isis is the club in leeds you will find many slag it off but i have been and enjoyed it if your unsure get a few people to meet you there for a drink ect it has a nice bar area like a mini fab social so your not alone post it in events maybe xxxx |

the bar area people are dressed i wear a slinky black dress with the goodies hidden lol people dont walk round naked lol as most think they do .. guys can wear towels or the dressing gowns provided for a £5 locker deposit |

That's not correct, Flexs is NOT couples only, in fact single women are free and it's a more convivial party atmosphere. And there are usually plenty of single guys with manners although most are black, if that's your thing.
Unlike Isis which, apart from having pleasant hosts and great coffee is generally populated by lots of Middle Aged, out of shape, white blokes who tend to follow women around with pleading eyes or think that because they have spoken to a couple they have a right to hang on their shoulder all night.
Have been to Isis a dozen times over the years, the last time 10 days since and it's steadily declined, its rather disappointing. If visiting Leeds and looking for a good experience, I'd think twice before attending Isis. |

I get texts whenever Flex parties are being advertised and they say every time that they are couples only. It would be handy to know that singles are welcome but I've not had a text from them once to advertise a party that is. |

I go to Isis every Friday night and have NEVER been bothered by pushy guys,most guys there are polite and take NO for an answer. Yes there are a few who dont,but they are not confined to Isis you get guys like that in ALL clubs.
Isis has not declined,the opposite infact it had a refurb (which is on going) and getting busier by the week.
My advice to anyone who wants to visit any club,is pop along and see for your self what its like. Not all clubs are for everyone. You will definatly be given a warm welcome at Isis by the owners and customer |

Isis serves its purpose. We were quite happy there for the first 18 months of our swinging lives and met good people who regularly visit.
If you are looking for a large, flash club then its not for you but if you are going for a good atmosphere with great owners and sociable people then you will be happy |

I've been to a Flex party as a single fem and there were other single fems and at least one single male (who happened to be white), I know they have or at least had some mixed nights and some couples only nights and I think some nights where single males must be black to attend. |

Isis has had a re-decoration, agreed. We're speaking about the general ambience of the clientele and single guys, many of whom are unpleasant in every form.
It has declined massively since we first attended several years ago. Lots of single guys who ruin it for many by just following like sheep. In fact it even looks as though one has posted on here saying how good it is! In all the times we've been it's been him harassing couples and the last time we visited, another couple we spoke to expressed the very same opinions.
Look at the evidence, why do you think Isis has no where to leave reviews on here? Because generally, it gets absolutely slated. That's the general opinion, that's why it was removed. |

We have been to a few of Flex parties, there one or two single women but mostly couples and single guys ( mainly black)
We find the guys there non pushy and very respectful but as dirty as you like in the bedroomd 
Isis has never been and never will be our choice of club but it is for others so the best thing to do is try it for yourself and make your own judgement |

Isis's major problem is its location!!...I know some folk think it close to the city center and the area is being rejuvinated but its still mabgate/lincoln green...it was a bad area when isis was a dodgy nightclub and its still a bad area. |

its sad that isis has gone downhill and some probably wont attend cos of the single guys but i went to their party last fri and nice to see it was busy for that.shame as its nearest place for me to go to |

omg.....i cant believe some of the comments by certain people on this thread. i'm going to have to watch what i say or i will get a forum ban.
firstly, to all the people who have an issue with isis....if you dont like it then dont go!!! SIMPLE.
but let others make their own mind up for themselves.
we have been to numerous clubs around the country and if we dont like it for any reason, we dont go back.
we dont feel the need to constantly slate it, because of our opinion..what we like or dont like is purely our choice, other people might be of a different opinion.
if you have a problem with a particular customer...tell the owner, it will be dealt with...or failing that speak to the person directly.
as for the location of isis....been going for years and there has NEVER been ANY problems with parking etc.
to the rumour-mongers and the scaremongers amongst you....shame on you.
to the open minded swingers...go along and see for yourself....dont be one of the sheep. |

I walk from the station to Isis without any trouble, even in deepest darkest winter, and the taxis are brilliant. They also have really good CCTV up to keep an eye on the cars, and its handy to see the people going into the club too. I have seen Dave go down at least once to check out people looking at the cars in a funny way.
All clubs I have visited are in less than salubrious locations, Chams and Partners included. Its rare for a club to be in a top notch posh city centre location for obvious reasons. |

So the only positive you can give is there is no problem with parking. Really sells it to me. |

i'm replying to other posters who specifically mentioned issues with the area.
also about clubs in general....
if you are at all interested in ANY club, then you should go.

Just been going through some old convos on the phone and came across Flex.
ALL his party invites are for singles and couples unless specified couples only. And when we've visited there've been plenty of single guys. |

isis club reviews were on here... they asked for their listing to be removed, make of that what you will.....
reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt.... not every bad review should be believed, just as everyone that is overgushing should be....... the proportion of good to bad is more what I took an interest in... and how the regulars and owners reacted to bad reviews |

_abio...the listing was removed because certain people were not leaving reviews as the listings are intended for.
they were using it for personal grudges to be aired.
i see that a similar thing appears to be happening to Liaisons...which makes me think the owners of Isis did the right thing in having theirs removed.
It hasnt hurt their business in any way, and they are not the only place that arent on the listings. |

Great club great owners lovely clientele an honest business run by honest people.
From a single guys point of view it will always be the case that they will want to follow couples or singles into the playrooms or what would be the point of any single guys going to the club.
I always ask the couples or singles if I can join them.
So don't knock the club if you haven't tried it.
Top club would recommend it to anyone. |

I have now been many times and I travel 65 miles to attend this fantastic place even though i have numerous clubs with in 20 minute drive but I still visit ..il whip up sum enthusiasm
Lovly folk there a crackin venue i see an upward spiral for this place shame its not on the club listing.
Il be there friday so come and say hi

We went to Isis for the first time last night, after hearing mixed reviews decided we would only know if we went ourselves. Heard some bad things that made us a little wary, however we were pleasantly surprised
It has a very friendly intimate atmosphere, wasn't very busy, but it was midweek, chatted to a few couples, found the single men to be very respectful and not at all pushy. Left it a little late to start play ( as usual for us haha)however wasn't made to feel hurried. Will probably go again another time midweek when able, be nice to arrange a meet there |

We are regulars at Isis and don't recognise the negative feedback at all. Obviously not everyone will like a particular club but it does smack of a vendetta to me.
There are single guys of all ages and every one has been respectful and courteous to us. If anyone did overstep the mark we would speak to him or tell the owner.
The bar area and playrooms have been refurbished and everything feels smart and comfortable. It isn't the largest or flashiest club around but we like the friendly intimacy.
If we had listened to the bad press we would have missed out on some great nights and amazing friends.
Please try if for yourself and keep an open mind.
We have also enjoyed parties at coco flex when it was in Armley and now it's moved to Headingley. There are various different events not just for couples. Usually invitation only but keep eye on local updates to ask for an invitation. |

It's a bit unfair to be so derogatory about the clientele of Isis. Surely not only allow the young and beautiful should be allowed to enter!
We would also like to say that many of our friends attend both Isis and CocoaFlex events. There is plenty of room and sufficient demand for both venues - and many more - in Leeds. |

We attended last nights xmas bash at Isis and had a super evening, great atmosphere and great company with the play rooms busy the whole evening. Merry xmas to all of you that attended and to the owners who do provide a super play space for us all . xx. Roll on 2014 xx |
