Hi
Me and the hubby have long considered going along to a club, but only have a vague idea of what to expect.
I have done some research, checked out a few club's sites, read reviews on here and comments etc.
Now, the impression I get from the majority of clubs is not one that appeal's to me as a newbie. To be perfectly honest I have in mind a social environment, similar to a standard nightclub, but with like-minded couples.
I have read about the existence of so-called "off-site" clubs, but have yet to find out the location of any. I am based in manchester, but am willing to travel.
Thanks in advance for any help and/or advice xx

Newcastle and Gateshead |
actually what you have mentioned sound like most of the clubs I have been to....
Social places......
and if you want to play, that is cool.....
it the preconception of what clubs are like that is one of my biggest bugbears, no offence..
just go... open mind... no expectations |

Of all the clubs I have been to, the one that your describing would most aptly describe Xtasia in West Brom.
This is because it is a nightclub in effect, but so much more.
If your thinking of going this side of Xmas, I'd have a look at the FFFF thread about Xtasia which is their Fab Friends Free Fun weekend at the beginning of December.
It's a place to dress as sexy as you dare, socialise around the licensed bar or the large social area, enjoy the dance floor if the mood takes you and then wander through to the various playrooms if that's what you wish to do.
Theres also Atlantis in Stoke which is a much smaller place but also works on a nightclub theme.
Townhouse in Wittal does have some good areas to chat away from the play areas, whereas clubs like Cupids, while very good might make you feel uncomfortable due to the need to dress down upon arrival and while theres plenty of places to chat, the play areas do tend to encompass into that area more than they do at the other clubs I've mentioned.
Best of luck in your choice and have fun. |

I'd echo the above re Xtasia!
And with the deal they have with the Prem Inn next door you won't have to worry about finding a room for the night either!
Fox and I love the place - and don't always end up playing with anyone else apart from eachother - you can have social fun, fun with just yourselves - or if the mood takes you - others! |

It is extremely likely that with all the different clubs, and different types of clubs on the scene (Some 70 plus in the UK alone, some 500 plus on mainland Europe)that will not find one that you don't like.
They are not all the same by any means nor does the same club always sucessfully create the same atmosphere every time you visit it. The right club that ticks the most boxes will appeal to the greatest number of people. The best always seems to have a nice invisible boundary between the social setting areas and the play areas. So you can both relax and talk to people as well as get more daring if you wish to.
There are certainly a good dozen or more that do this very well, and some like Xtasia have a more nightclub feel where you can dance too.
