we are considering going to a club for the first time, but i(fem) am a bit nervous as to the rules regarding clothes Can you just go and if not feeling like playing(cos it would be my first time at a proper club) keep clothes on and just socialise, or would that be bad form? |

after 8 club in edinburgh tends to be fully clothed except on lingerie night(only night with compulsory strip down). there is no pressure to do anything you don't want to- this includes playing or undressing. |

It Depends on the club ...
There is never any pressure for you to do anything you don't want to - regardless of attire !
Most clubs cloths on is fine - some require you to dress sexy or towel !
The websites should give all you need to Know |

"Any club that dictates how much or how little you can wear isn't for us or you by the sound of it. We always avoid "wet" clubs for that reason."
Yea avoid wet clubs and you should be fine |

"Pardon the [self-explanatory perhaps] question, but what are wet clubs? x"
clubs with 'wet' facilities - jacuuzzis, sauna, steam room etc. Most require guys to wear just a towel/shorts. Women can wear towel/lingerie/sexy little dress etc |

"now for my next question, what is the best club down south, near manc sort of area ? "
La Chambre in sheffield is a pub/nightclub style club with a clear demarcation between social and play areas. There is a well equipped large dungeon in the basement and the whole first floor consists of a variety of playrooms. |

You could venture further south and try Xtasia, its a night club type of place with lots of social areas and play rooms and a wet area with changing room and lockers. The dress code will suit you as well.
Best of both worlds.

Most people will recommend their local club.
The established ones near Manchester are Partners and Cupids, check the club reviews and make your own mind up. |

The clubs in Manchester tend to be dress down/towels/lingerie.
If you go a tad further south, we'd recommend adventures in lust, that's in stoke and more of a nightclub. |

some clubs you have to dress down right away, for instance cupids you are asked to change before you enter the main club areas ( there's a changing room next to where you pay to get in )
No 3 in Chorley you can stay dressed until 10:30 and then you are all asked to get changed
Partners allows you to stay clothed around the bar and lounge, unless you want to go into the play areas .. in which case you have to dress down |

There's been various replies with several good clubs mentioned. My two favorites would be Infusions in Blackpool and Xtasia in West Brom.
Just to clarify the dress down rule for you at clubs especially as the concern was raised by the female half of this couple.
Most wet clubs require you to dress down, so taking the example of Cupids where you "dress down" on entry this means that for the guy he changes into either shorts, boxers or naked wearing just a towel. For the lady while dress down can mean naked with a towel, for 99% of ladies it would mean changing into a more sexy outfit like underwear, a corset, a chemise or a nightie or any combination of that mix. Most ladies while dressing very sexily in a dress down club aren't actually revealing their most intimate side unless of course they choose too.
In a nightclub style environment you'll often find ladies similarly dressed or wearing dresses that they probably wouldn't down at their local pub whereas guys in that type if club will be wearing a shirt and smart pants.
Hope that helps you a bit in your choice.

"There is also Infusions in Blackpool.
Cupids in Mancs, tends to be towel wearing club. (We wrongly thought otherwise before)"
No it isn't. All the ladies tend to wear lingerie. |

They don't tend to, that's the dress code. Towel clubs are clubs where you wear either a towel or underwear.
It is a great club with a fantastic friendly atmosphere, but if you want to stay dressed then not the club to choose. |

Didn't want anything to think a towel club refers to what people actually wear.
We prefer dress down on arrival, we find the whole banging a gong thing and everyone piling into the changing room at the same time to be about as erotic as a school PE lesson. All a bit odd! |

If you don't mind dressing sexy or wearing towel then cupids is good. My particular favourite is the Gatehouse in Bolton though. No pressure club. The reason being it does get a number of trans people in there and so they obviously want somewhere they can dress how they want to. But you do get a good mix of people on weekends and the hosts are really friendly.
I go there to socialise because of the friendly crowd. I don't play there generally but do like to have a go on the pole. It's not as big as cupids but it's well equipped as you'd expect any club really. |
