Young people's swingers clubs?
Jump to: Newest in thread
We have had a little read up and really want to go to a swingers spa/club/party but it seems that a lot of the guests at these functions are quite alot older then us... We are in essex, does anyone have any suggestions of 'young' places to go??

Swinging was up to quite recently a middle age activity it was unusual to see swingers in their twenties nowadays we observe more young and younger couples attending parties and clubs. We do like it we think with actual economic situation and high admission fees in clubs young couples tend to find it expensive and deterring hopefully someone will set up a night for under thirties for example but older couples will claim its discriminatory so there you go |

I'm afraid unless you seek a club out on an "under 40's" night (there have been a few held in various places).
Clubs will on average be around "middle" aged almost anywhere you go, though occasionally the stars will align and younger couples will turn up on mass!
Not very helpful I know but I would just try a good club and cross your fingers for a younger night

"Now we're middle aged Damn
At every club we've attended except one we've felt positively youthful - which is maybe not what you wanted to hear!"
UK life expectancy is 80
So 40 is middle aged by definition! :D |

If you lack the maturity to able to socialise with likemindeded folk of all ages with the understood presumption that nothing is ever expected then maybe you lack the maturity that this lifestyle requires.
Just our humble opinion |

Maybe you are happy presuming that nothing is expected but a lot of couples go to clubs to play and don't like the idea of playing with couples double their age. It's all about what people are comfortable with. Each to their own is what I say. |

I think it's only natural that people want to socialise and play with people of a similar age, we are the same wouldnt have a lot in common with 19 year olds. I say go and have fun with who ever you like |

In the 14 years we have been playing we have never gone to a club and played with people we were not happy to play with.
We go to a club, happily accept that there will be the full spectrum of age/size/creed//sexuality in attendance. We socialise with one and all and work out who we want to play with and take it from there.
If folk are fearful of going to clubs because there might be folk there they don't want to play with maybe they should not be going to to clubs in the first place |

Swinging is all about adults enjoying adult fun with like minded adults of their choice.
Swinging clubs are full of like minded adults who look to play with like minded adults of mutual choice.
Going to a club in fear of anything else = not adult enough to be in a club so stay home |

There's a few on here who like to dictate what others should or shouldn't do.
Given the choice to spend a night with like minded people I find attractive or with like minded wrinklies I'll go for the former. |

We go to 2 clubs fairly often (Tease and VA) and while it is always going to be hit and miss there are normally some younger couples not sure there are any as young as late teens early 20's.
Could be worth looking at places like Anti-Christ and Torture Garden, not swingers clubs but both have couples rooms and a younger crowd.
There is also Killing Kittens in London but it get's mixed reviews, membership is by approval and admission far from cheap. |

Quite fortuitously during our years of playing we have encountered very few folk with closed minds. We know they exist but personal experience suggests they are a fairly rare breed |

How on earth is someone seeking a club that matches their preferences closed minded? |

We're in our early 40s and even we've found at times that some clubs have had nights where WE find the majority of the crowd too old for us - so I see nothing wrong in someone wanting to go to a club where they will find people in their own age range |

We can only add to what others have said, there have always been some younger couples at every night we have ever been to, and that's alot!
Some clubs do attract certain demographics more than others, but again, we agree an event like TG is more likely to get you a larger grouping of a younger age range. Clubs in Holland also attract a much more varied crowd than they do over here. |

Spin that another and ask yourself why the likes of Chams, probably the most used club in UK don't feela need to bother with an age limited night?
We have never felt out of place where ever we have gone between our early 40's when we first started and our mid 50's now.
The mahoosive clue here is that it's younger folk that feel threatened and are asking to exclude some folk from their night out, hence the maturity question.
Just a thought but why is there no clamour for Over 40's nights, could it be the older you get the less judgemental you get |

Or the older you get the more of your age group you'll find at most clubs - and the less people there are that are older than you.
Chams doesn't have those nights because it's biggest market is the opposite.
I think many people tend to become more judgemental as they become older. But seeking out people you'll find attractive seems like good judgement, whatever your age. |

Hey guys, you look young! Welcome to our world dispite our ages, we are very young looking, and always look for young others at clubs - like attracts!
No club seems to do a strict under 35's night anymore, like the old f club used to but there are a few option around as a few have stated.
You can add Liberty Elites "Hotties" night to that list as we tend to go there (just on that night).
Xtasia also be hosting a Brandon Block (yes the famous DJ) rave night which will be frequented many many a younger type (as last one was), as loud pounding music doesn't suit many old folk - and if it does, they are up our street to social with so win win.
You can try Killing Kittens (we wouldn't recommend it) but there is also Fever Parties and a few other private parties.. contact us and will put you in touch with a young couple we know that throw parties, perhaps you may be lucky to get a invite? |

Seeking out people you find attractive is one thing but excluding those you don't is the thin edge of the wedge, what next under 35 but no Hungry Hippo nights..................where will it end eh |

I really think you must have read a different opening post to everyone else...
The OP has not criticised or bad mouthed anyone, they've not been in anyway negative, all they've done is ask if anyone can recomend a club that suits their preferences and I really fail to see what your issue is with that? |

But that is a mute point there is already exclusion as you call it, or I would call it preferences we choose to go to clubs when single males cannot come, if they had an under 35 night that would not bother us at all |

Preferences, that makes my my point exactly
An example Chams hold regular BBW events but do the ban non BBW women or couples from attending?
On the Bi night do both halves of a couple have to be Bi?
They rely on the common sense approach of their clientele who will decide if and when to attend the club and who they may or may not play with but their policy seems to be one of inclusion rather than exclusion |

But by the nature of the nights they are exclusive for instance Monday nights at chams is bi night and from speaking to th staff there most of the action is male/male why would a straight male want to go another example bmfc caters for women who like black men and from my understanding they turn no one away but why would a single white male want to attend |

I know plenty of straight guys that go to chams bi night. They go with their bi girlfriends etc.
Also there's plenty of single Caucasian or asian males that go to bmfc. |

Its always interesting that whenever these topics come up its always someone "older" who feels like they are being excluded that has the most problems with it.
What you're attracted to might not change as you age even what you feel like mentally might not change but quite simply I cant blame a younger person from wanting to play with a younger person, especially in this community which is almost entirely dominated by older couples.
What I dont get is why it offends you "the older" person so much that they want to play with people of a similar age to the point where you have to insult them and if they are capable of swinging ? because they have a preference ?
you can dress it up all you want but like any why wont xx play with me thread, topic, or forum post it always boils down to feeling hard done by and jealous because you see something you want but they dont want you (for whatever factor) and its quite peti really.

Precisely my point, almost no one is being excluded.
Our understanding of the Bi night at Chams is that one half of a couple must be Bi at some level whilst single folk must also be Bi at some level so I concede that straight single folk seem to be excluded but then single folk often do draw the short straw in the swinging world.
We attended a BMFC with friends at Xtasia in Dec of last year. The girls enjoyed fun with some of the black guys, fun with us hubbys and with some other people there.
No pun intended but nothing in this world is ever black and white

Its quite easy to read between the lines of indignant you are coming across at potentially being left out because of your age isnt it.
You started by insulting their capacity to be swingers because they dared to ask the question if there were any clubs who did "younger" nights and since then have managed to turn the thread into the usual "but you cant exclude meee" stuff.
Everyone here has a preference as I'm sure there is some demographic you wont play for I hard think its world ending if a club put an under 40's or under 35's night on to cater for these couples who quite simply might not be attracted to someone old enough to be a grandparent nor is it discriminating its just offering people somewhere to express preference.
After all the entire swinging world is build on preference, you might not like it but you could always attend any of the hundreds of other clubs that wont be having a under 40's or 35's night.

To be fair we have not attended either of these evenings so perhaps I shouldn't of used them as examples so I seem to have lost the argument, all I can say we take no exception to parties or club nights being catered for any demographic be it age, size, colour or age we would just attend the evenings that would suit us best |

Might I very politely suggest a re read of the thread as I would appreciate you showing me where I was taking offence at the notion young folk don't want to play with us "
you dressed it up well by saying "social" but the result is the same, its actually pretty hard for a lot of people especially young people to say "no" its in fact the hardest thing as a younger couple to learn how to do especially with over bearing "older" and fairly pushy couples in clubs. To suggest they are not ready for swinging because they dont feel comfortable in a sexual setting (social or not) with people double or higher their age IS insulting.
Its a pretty intimidating thing to get into full stop swinging the last thing we need to be doing is chasing off and insulting the younger members who are gently dipping their toes into the waters.

To be fair we have not attended either of these evenings so perhaps I shouldn't of used them as examples so I seem to have lost the argument, all I can say we take no exception to parties or club nights being catered for any demographic be it age, size, colour or age we would just attend the evenings that would suit us best "
If you look at our posts you will see we are pretty much in complete agreement.
I used Chams as the yard stick to measure my argument in that they are able to offer the whole spectrum of Swinging fun without, Monday nites excepted, excluding anyone from attending but letting folk make their own minds up as to when to use the club.
Looking at how successful they are you have to figure someone knows exactly what they are doing |

We love chams but only go Saturday nights because that suits us and yes it's a great mix there but not everyone would feel comfortable there we have met young people who are and met young people who are not, so a night that would suit them better has no effect on us so it would not bother us |

It's just as hard for older people to get into full swap swinging and the club scene.
Our first venture to Xatsia in our early 40's was about as nerve wracking as it possibly gets and it took 18 months of going there before we eventually plucked up the courage to try Chameleons so please let's dispense with the idea that nervousness is age dependant |

Is this a why won't they play with me thread?

I know of at least one bloke that was refused entry to the Bi night at Chams for being known to be straight - so that isn't quite the perfect example afterall.
BBW nights, couples, bi nights run by clubs are based on if they think there's a market they can attract, not as a charitable gesture. |

Loco Loca is right. Swinging really did used to be an activity for the over 35s (or thereabouts), but it's really great to see that there is more and more young blood attracted to the scene. |

Being young, and regular club visitors we had to widen our preference to cater for clubs which wasn't such a bad thing. Having met with both younger and older people in the scene we've found that people older then us which isn't hard to find in the scene are actually more fun and relaxed. The younger couples find it harder to settle and are on edge if you will. Granted not all, but our age preference definitely changed when we started going to clubs x
Happy Swinging, and Hey, just have a good time :p |

"Swinging is all about adults enjoying adult fun with like minded adults of their choice.
Swinging clubs are full of like minded adults who look to play with like minded adults of mutual choice.
Going to a club in fear of anything else = not adult enough to be in a club so stay home
There's a few on here who like to dictate what others should or shouldn't do.
Given the choice to spend a night with like minded people I find attractive or with like minded wrinklies I'll go for the former."
I think most would tbh!! |

Whatever people want to say people have preferences of what they are looking for, be that bbc, bbw or people the same age as themselves.
It's a free country, and opening your relationship up for other people is hard enough without being faced with something that you don't want being forced on you. So if some younger couples feel that they want a younger crowd to feel more comfortable, why the hell shouldn't they?? Don't turn it back on them and say its down to lack of maturity. You learn how to say no to over bearing people in clubs in time and with confidence. Now going to a younger night also does not mean that there won't be over bearing couples, but it's much easier to talk to people of the same generation and same age as yourselves.
I think you need to not have such a gripe about other people's preferences and give them a break. |

"We have had a little read up and really want to go to a swingers spa/club/party but it seems that a lot of the guests at these functions are quite alot older then us... We are in essex, does anyone have any suggestions of 'young' places to go??
Hannah xx
You can try Killing Kittens (we wouldn't recommend it) but there is also Fever Parties and a few other private parties.. contact us and will put you in touch with a young couple we know that throw parties, perhaps you may be lucky to get a invite?"
when is the brandon block party? were right into our house what a night swinging and house!
Oi oi
