The review section
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hello its Me Troy Mcclure you might remember me from such threads as "cleaning up the clubs section 1/2/3".
Anyway, after a little time out from venturing to clubs we are about to start again however, upon browsing the section there seems to be quite a few clubs delving into what looks like "open" warfare on each other.
From Libs and Jaydees to Atlantis and Adventures and beyond to be quite frank the amount of fake profiles, out of order comments and other things being said is just as far away as you could get from the reviews actually being useful right now.
Any chance we could clean some of them up ? As right now its making a couple of clubs look really quite uninviting given the level of bitching going on between them.

Ruby has cleared up one of the review sections to be fair but from what I can see the jaydees stuff remains! |

Good luck with this one
Some clubs seem to be in self destruct mode and I cant for the life of me understand why they would choose to go the nasty attack route when a dignified silence would win far more of our swinging hearts.
The only people who can stop this is admin and again I cant for the life of me understand why they wont restrict a profile from reviewing a particular club for a 3-6 month period.
It would not bother me if I could not review my favourite club twice a month. It would still survive and flourish without my fortnightly 10 penneth. The owners would advocate this format also. Make it fair and what will be will be.
Fake profiles become useless and Die Hard regulars become fangless. Its down to the clubs themselves then to either succeed or fail on merit alone.
Its not all bad for the war mongers. They can still use their personal websites for full on war. That still remains to be there choice but its a very much a misguided one at best.
So good luck with this as I sincerely hope you succeed where others have failed.
All this nastiness leaves nothing but a bad taste but more importantly plays havoc with your semi!
Good Luck!

Going from the review - i think you will find it was VA and Jaydees, not Liberty Elite.
Not that VA need to get involved in anything - they are one of the best clubs in the country.

I have only ever been to one club and that partners couple of week ago and gound it quite good.
If true club owners etc are directly or indirectly slagging off other clubs simply due to their own agendas quite simply i will not go to the clubs involved.
More to fab and life than club scene for me. |

Agree about cleaning some of this mess up. However when the facts are not correct such as mentioning Libs when they have nothing to do with it irony kicks in. |

yep sorry about that I guess in my mind its easy to confuse the two, but substitue libs for VA and the point remains.
Not sure where the irony comes into it there, getting a name wrong when people are using the clubs section as an extended bitching tool isnt ironic its just getting the name wrong.

It's not the club or the owners themselves (as far as we can see) regarding Atlantis or Adventures but their faithful friends and customers.
But if you knew the background behind it all, you would probably understand.
But the background aside - the slagging and same profiles saying the same thing constant weekly about their club has no place on the review section. |

We are well aware of all the background there but it doesn't justify the behaviour really (on either side), all it does it take the shine of two decent clubs.

Sadly...sometimes it seems like an all out war with 5 year olds in the review section.
I can keep taking off None reviews and putting up reminders of what the section is about until I am blue in the face but it doesn't seem to make much difference and people end up blocked from posting a review at all.
For people who you think are using multiple profiles to add malicious reviews the best thing to do is REPORT the profile and let Admin check it out.
The same as if you think a review isn't a review or malicious REPORT that too.
Honest reviews GOOD or BAD we can't remove. |

There are at least 8 reviews of Jaydees which are not bona fide reviews and are messages of support.
Then take a look at the caravan section they are not even reviews
not worth reporting - so many "non" reviews. |

There isn't now
When I or the other mods get time we do the housekeeping. It isn't always instant
The Caravan club is a bit different as it isn't in one place and has always been the way it is.
If however you think they shouldn't be allowed on there then send your feedback to Admin from the CONTACT button.
I am shutting this...but before I do...please remember...mods don't write the reviews or have a childish war between clubs...we just TRY and moderate them while being abused half the time.
Again....the REPORT button is where people need to send information to Admin for reviews or malicious profiles.
