Just had a quick look at Liberty website as I'm thinking of going back for a second visit this Friday.
Just thought id ask this question though before I ring them up, does anyone know if I have to pay the £40 entrance (single guy) as well as the £50 membership?

Yes, unless its a free members night or a night were it's free entry to all incl non members.
Technically, you can only have 1 guest temp membership visit and if you want to visit again you have to be a member to get entry.
The club is definitely worth it.
