As a Couple who don't want to meet other Couples we feel that just as there are Couples only Nights there should be nights where Single Guys pay a much more reasonable fee. The choice is normally quite limited and it could give it a more proper club atmosphere. Just a thought x

I,m going to stick my two pence worth in

£50 / £75 it,s not unique to Cupids all clubs charge single males a membership fee, ring and check if you don't beleive me, Adam & Eves is similar if not the same, and No3 and Chams too, in some respects its done to keep the weirdo's out and provide a safe enviroment for single ladies to go alone, you could always take a lady along with you then there is no membership fee just a couples entrance fee, but you both must leave together at the end of the evening.

It's clearly not too much as I've never known a club to be short of Single men!

It's not sexism it's supply and demand, a very simple economic principle

£75 is taking the mick! And you wouldn't spend that kind of money on a "general" night out round here, that's for sure!! As mentioned, a massage parlour is much cheaper with a 100% happy ending too!

"The local massage parlour only charges £50!"

been to cupids on many occasions and its far from being a parlour or anywhere near. surely you dont go to a club including cupids and expect sex do you?

cupids is very up market, plush and full of very nice people regardless how much they have paid.

we have always enjoyed ourselves even when MR has gone on his own, and yes believe me its worth it.

if you think you should expect sex in the club then maybe a parlour is for you then for your £50.

will always go both as a couple or a single, you do a great job cupids

If you equate a massage parlour and a swinging club then perhaps swinging is not for you. It's not £75 for one night, it's £50 and then £25 per night. Plenty of single men go who dont think it's a rip off. I think if you want garaunteed sex and are moaning about being ripped off, we'd all rather you went to a massage parlour. I certainly wouldn't want Tor to be involved with any man who thought that paying to get in entitled him to sex with Tor.

"I do think the membership is a little high, I also dont think its fair that single women pay next to nothing but single guys pay the most."

As a single woman and just talking about this subject in cupids last night,it appears that if the cost to a single man was reduced then maybe too many would go then maybe couples would nit go as much its a fine line....

Three simple words

Supply and demand

There are not very many single women going so they are charged less (low supply:high deman makes their "value" higher so they're encouraged to go by dropping the price.)

There are lots of single men they pay more. (High supply in fact too high therefore a higher price is paid to increase their "value".

The club isn't think about you and your one cock they're thinking about ratios and staying in business (not a shagging charity) so they should try to maintain ratios.

Too many men go and lots of women and couples will be put off so less of them will go and then you have a situation where the ratio of single men to couples/women is too high.

I don't get how people don't understand this. It's not complex.

At the end of the day, if you don't want to pay don't go.

Apologies for my earlier quote, in no way was I comparing cupids to some two bit knocking shop, it were a sarcastic comment regarding the high fees and taken in the wrong context. I know some of the staff from there and know it to be a great club. It's obvious as mentioned why it's so high and that makes sense,

So again to apologise to all at cupids and all its members for my stupid comment,

Consider my arse slapped. Xx

Where on earth are you spending £75 for a general night out???

Even when I'm going for a big night out with my former uni mates living miles away, I don't spend that much!!

I understand why they need to keep the prices high but come on, you can't expect men to spend £75 (plus the cab, etc.) anytime!

People really do need to check out the club site to check prices. The £75 that keeps getting mentioned is for 6months membership plus entry on a Friday or Saturday night.

If you are a member entry sun-thurs is £15, fri-sat £25. Prices are different for party nights but its also different prices for couples and single fems on party nights too.

£75 is a one off payment! Then £15 weekday and £25 weekend. Seriously some people want everything for free then would moan about the quality of the club if it wasn't perfect as well

May I say .. I started this thread in 'best intent' last week.. not for you boys to have a moanfest!! If you can get sex elsewhere for£2.50 and a cone of chip.. fill your boots... Literally!!

Im sick of all the whinging and whining... go.. dont go.. not assed really! Ive been to the clubs that charge less for males and after witnessing them 'trolling' the street for single women who might want to come in... and navigating through the sea of wanking men to get to the changing room only to decide to make a fast exit out!

Cupids is not the only club to charge this price, do your research and stop bashing this great club!

I would however as a single woman be willing to pay more to get in if it shut up the whining gents!

I dont understand why people get so heated over discussions.

We are not that stupid to understand to know why the pricing system is in place and certainly do not need it spelling out to us. We as a couple do not agree with the pricing system that most clubs have and I dont see that it solves the ratio problem either..... Oh and if people dont like what I say then dont read it.... Simples!!!

While I understand the "demand and supply" aspect, I do have a number of thoughts on this:

1) £25 entry is a great price for single guys, and £50 for 6 months membership isn't too bad, otherwise that would be £100 for 12 months, this way I don't feel committed for the year.

2) However, its only worth it if I make enough visits worth it... I haven't been yet so not sure if I can see as many visits in the future to squeeze into a 6 month period, a bit brief

3) While I couldn't equate a massage parlour with a swing club (not that I know, but I doubt a massage parlour has the thrill of a swing club) I however disagree with people that suggest £75 is the normal price for a night out - the only people I know that spend that kind of money either make shed loads... or ladies that have their nights out paid for them (usually said guys that make shed loads,.. and drive flash cars in feature magazines).

4) I don't agree the £75 will EVER " out the undesirables". If this was ever true then even the swing sites would all be paid membership to get rid of time-wasters, yet we have loads of time-wasters on paid sites. If anything, quite the opposite effect - it tends to create the idea in some guys heads that "I've paid £75, I best get my money's worth".

The easiest answer to "overcrowding" is to limit the number of single guys... then the price can me deduced to model the expected venue costs of the night (ps: if you didn't know - single guys subsidise couples and single girls entry costs. If no single guys came, then single girls and couples would pay more.. just have a look at AbFabs on the couples nights.. the entry price goes way up!)
