single females first Club trip

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

I wanted to give my experience of my first visit as a single woman to Cupids Club, Manchester.

I didnt want to go alone, in fact I wouldnt have gone alone. So I asked on the forums if any females were going. Ruby and Evie very kinding volunteered to meet me outside the club and escort me in. I was advised to wear my casual clothes and take my play wear with me. I asked what I should wear and Ruby said on a normal club night is normally lingerie or a towel for women.

We went upstairs and I was given a towel and key for my locker. There is no licence so you bring your own alcohol but you can buy soft drinks and its put on a tab and you pay at the end of the night.

I entered the dressing room single men one side and women and couples in the other sectioned off area. Got changed, locked my belongings away and took a deep breath.

I felt very apprehensive walking into the club as with every pub, club, room everyone looks at the new people... Add to that your in your umderwear.. however I very quickly felt at ease and people were very welcoming. It also helped that Ruby knew lots of people.

The staff I have to say were extremely nice and helpful and this helped me feel at ease.

Im not going to write a review of the club here as its not the right place. But just some observations. I took my towel out with me to the Club and used it to sit on in the lounge area. I would advise any 'singles' to buddy up if they are going for a first visit as it helps with the nerves and you have someone to talk to.

I am not in anyway shape or form good with the ettiquette involved and you will see I have started a thread before on this which ive found people have posted very helpful and interesting tips on how to present in a club. This was because I found it difficult to know if people were looking at me, liked me, why I wasnt approached.. ect and I now feel the next time I will present better.

The main thing to remember is everyone is respectful, no means no, everyones there for the same reason and you get out of the experience as much as you put in.

I spent the whole day on Saturday switching between going and not going... and im so glad I did. If your a single looking to go... Do it.. if you dont like you can leave but if you dont try these things youll never know!

if anyone has questions please feel free to message me.
