Do you think clubs should be able to respond to a bad review???

Not only do the clubs have no right to respond but anyone associated with a club gets blocked from making a comment.

Shouldn't a club be able to defend a bad review ????

Clubs (at least some) do respond to bad (or what they see as bad) reviews privately, to the people involved. I don't think there is a need for the clubs to be able to respond to bad reviews on the review section.

If clubs think a review is false or made up, they can contact the site admin.

Not everyone will enjoy a club, either specifically the venue, a particular event or even a certain night. There's a difference between a negative review which is honestly given and detailed as to why and one based a personal issue that is just aimed at bad mouthing a club.

Honest feedback is important and also useful to clubs AND those looking to visit them. But one bad review in amongst many positives won't necessarily have an impact. If there's a pattern there could be a reason. 🤷‍♂️

Hopefully then people will realise when an review is written purely for a malicious reason because there's no recourse or ability to respond when this happens! Most other review pages give an option for the owner to reply. I guess its just frustrating when they can't

Surely everyone is entitled to an opinion though? Having browsed the reviews I'm pretty sure I know the one you're referring to. It shares similar comments to one or two others, out of many many more positive reviews.

As I said. No everyone will always enjoy a club or individual club night. You can't dictate someone’s opinion of how their night went. 🤷‍♂️

I messaged the club owners with my concerns, instead of addressing them, they blocked me on fab.

So childish!

No "temptation" to return.

To be fair I think most people have a sense of which reviews are genuinely objective and which are dubious. Especially against the back drop of the many other reviews. I don't think there's any real necessity to change.

I think a lot of clubs that don't sign up for the reviews page tend to clubs with a weakness or two in there venue or how they are run. Not bad clubs per se but ones which know there maybe aspects of their club that may not always come across well in reviews.

I do think reviews could be categorised like other review sites. Rather than a droplist of 5 star down to 1 star maybe go from "Fabulous" down to "avoid"

Then people can see the mass majority of reviews are positive.

Negative reviews are generally only given by people who didn't get what they expected to have or were told "No" for one reason or another

99.9% of reviews are typically positive anyway and club owners seem to be able to counter respond in the same way with why the decision was made that caused the negative feedback.

All in all club owners are professional and the tiny minority cause them no problems. They have a business to run and dwelling on 1 negative review wouldn't benefit them in any way.

Of course then you get the staff/party organisers/close friends of or with a vested interest bigging up their clubs.

Two SW clubs this has happened to in last 48 hours.

Don't bite the hand that feeds you!

Clubs have always been able to respond if they wish to if they think the review is wrong about their club, for example people complain about the jacuzzi being dirty but you know the jacuzzi wasn't working that night.

A persons view of what a club is like is allowed, whether positive or negative and is how it should be. Obviously a club may not agree with it but clubs must expect that you won't please everyone.

Getting into a row on the club reviews with multiple posts going back and forth wouldn't be allowed though

🙂🙂

It is but not in any particular order.

I was thinking of categorised together so you can see all the "fabulous" at the same time and gradually dropping down to the least favourable reviews. Throws you a bit when you get dozens of excellent reviews then a bad one just appears.

I have never left a bad feedback for any club as some people like and some people don’t each to there own but I have noticed that a lot of bad feedback gets removed I think u should be able to give an honest review without it been hidden x

It doesn't get removed. All reviews are welcome , bad or good as the OP proves.

The only time they would be removed is if it is a hostess judging her / his own night. A worker from the club itself / a review for the wrong club or that the review wasn't a review of the club itself.

They are two totally different things. You would get banned on a status for breaking site rules and not for a club review. People don't ever get banned for a negative club review

( I would remove the status you have up now as it will probably happen again if not )

Mr"

That's not necessarily true. We have applied 9 times for a club profile. It isn't us dodging the reviews we'd welcome them and potentially whichever club you are referring to may be in the same position

I'm aware of another club that would like to be included in the review section but isn't. Often it's not down to the club.

I do see reviews however that have been left by people who have been banned from a club and go and write a negative review. You then see others who have been banned jump on the bandwagon and post negative reviews. This really should not be allowed, but I guess it's very difficult to police.

There’s a club in the NW does this on a regular basis. The second Fab profiles of the staff and spouses leaving good reviews to bump up their figures…..

I left an unbiased, honest review, and the backlash I received was “Just another single guy who didn’t get his dick wet”…… Obviously, I haven’t been back
