We are going to a club for our first time.

It’s dress up.

I’m assuming all clubs have lockers for putting all your stuff in when it’s time to shed a few items of clothing?

Its worth checking with the actual club you're going to.

Not every single club has lockers, but most do, particularly the ones that require a dress down, either on arrival or at some point during the night. Some clubs have very limited number of lockers so worth checking before going. Also, the size and quality of lockers varies greatly from club to club.

If a club has no lockers what do you do with your keys, phone and debit cards ?

How quickly do clubs fill up? We don’t want to arrive as soon as it opens as we don’t want to be the first there, but don’t want to leave it too late if we have to secure a locker before they all disappear.

Any club worth visiting will have lockers.

If it's your first time going early isn't a bad thing. Get a chance to find your feet so to speak before it gets busy

There's no hard and fast rule about how busy a club will get. It depends on the evening, is it a party night etc.

A general idea would be they tend to get busy within a couple of hours of opening but again this is a big generalisation.

We went for the Christmas party at a big club not so long ago. We weren't early but neither were we particularly late and they'd run out already. Locker space can run out particularly on fast popular party nights. Although most normal nights you'll be find (depending on the club because some have more lockers than others).

In the evenings there is always a queue waiting for the doors to open, especially at Club Alchemy events

I haven't experienced it personally, apart from an outdoor version of one of my local clubs. People were just keeping their stuff with them, like you would do in a regular nightclub or on the beach, I guess. It did worry me regarding the phone use, as I have seen at least a few people with their phones out. As far as I remember, we have spoken to the club about the lockers for the outdoor event, and about the phones.

I seem to recall a thread on the forum not that long ago about people who went to a club (can't remember the name of it, sorry) that had no lockers and had their money go missing? I very much prefer it when clubs do provide lockers.

I remember that thread too (and also can't remember the name) and the Club advised leaving valuables in your car but that doesn't help guests arriving by taxi.

Very true. Also, is the club going to be responsible if anything goes missing from the car? A lot of clubs are not exactly in the best lit and most secure locations.
