Some friends went to the first one last year and they enjoyed themselves. There is a group of us going this Friday.

I wouldn’t go if you are not into BDSM.

I am definitely into BDSM I guess it's better if I was coupled up with someone then going alone.

Surely it's the perfect time to try/experience something a little outside of the comfort zone...we'll be there and we are totally not hardcore...it's always fun to watch 😉😈

I was not going to join the fray but my understanding is that it is not a serious BDSM event but BDSM Lite. Serious BDSM events do not have gender based pricing or gender based booking restrictions. Before anyone raises the sausagefest argument BDSM is not solely sexual and Torture Garden (maybe not so serious), O&I at Eurekas, and Twisted that used to be Vanilla Alternative were not gendered.

However, people I know and consider serious players from the Hampshire and Reading rope/BDSM scene are attending.

If I was to go I would go as a couple as Kestrels/ Ignite has my favourite dungeon and I do go there from time to time on a Saturday with my girlfriend for rope, and impact play then jacuzzi.

Going to BDSM events as a single male with pick up play in mind has become less succesful these days. However, as this is a lite event at a swinger club and your profile shows you to be personable and know your toys, (I always travel with rope and floggers to events) as there is always the right person at the right place possibility.

Although, if you are going by yourself, it may be best to go with enjoying the ambiance rather than with definite plans. Good Luck.

The good thing about Dystpia is that there is no gender based pricing. It’s £25 a ticket. No discounts for couples and no sausage tax for single males.

It was quiet, about 40 people. Last time was busier, but there were more swingers. This time it was mainly kinksters. I went with a larger group of friends.

They had problems with one of their vans, so they were down a Saint Andrew’s Cross and a spanking bench. Sex cinema was the aftercare room, showing scenes from nature.

We had a fun time, caught up with friends, showed some people the contents of our play bag and had a good impact session.

We would go again.

It may have been a busier event if it wasn’t the same night as the Dungeon night at Hellfire, which again is a BDSM event.

Maybe alternate the night so local clubs don’t have the same event on the same night, may get a better turn out of kinkster.

Clubs maybe should work together more.

I did I think the biggest thing was Hellfires dungeon event they shouldn't of clashed with the same date, I was expecting it to be more busy due to how many said they were going on F E T. but I guess some people were torn between the two. It makes sense now regarding the equipment as I was expecting more furniture, shame their van had issues. But it definitely has some promise if they work in unity with other kink events so they don't clash.

And herein lies the problem, Hellfires Dungeon night is an established event so why does Ignite start a new Fet event on the same night??

Clubs have a difficult enough time as it is , why work against a club that's down the road from you , that's counter productive and as proven on the night it would seem Hellfires established event had the better turn out , plus , why make your customers choose , do the event on a different night and your customers get to go to both events....it's a win win then surely??

The problem is parties move. The 4th Friday, as advertised is not always the date of the event.

Shame events seem to move after advertising.

Hellfires Dungeon night on the 24/01/22 was exactly the 4th Friday in January as advertised, so no moving events on their part just as their next Dungeon night is the 28th of Feb , 4th Friday in February.

The March one is not on the 28th it’s 21st now, so a moving date after Dystopia was moved to not clash as you rightly suggested.

Hi to everyone on this thread!

I’m kitten and I’m part of the hosting team for DYSTOPIA: The Vault at Ignite.

We love Ignite club and DYSTOPIA as an event is building into something really special in a number of places and different styles of fetish event.

As we hope you can understand as an event and brand starting out we have a small budget to bring additional kit and equipment and this has its challenges and when our van genuinely had broken down it meant we couldn’t bring want we wanted to in Jan and that small budget didn’t stretch to can hire.

When we first hosted in October the event was really well received and Ignite asked if we could do more which we were delighted to do and between us agreed dates.

We picked dates in line with the October one and the calendars of ourselves and Ignite as well as checking locally but we seem to have been trumped by another club.

With DYSTOPIA, we’re aiming to build a very sex positive, dark, fetish event which is welcoming to newcomers as well as seasoned players. The theme of dystopian fiction leads itself well for this and over the course of the year we will be incorporating a few things to really help people explore and discover new kinks and fetishes.

We really appreciate the support we’ve had so far and hope with your continued support we can grow this event into something really special!

If you’ve got any questions then please message this fab account or the DYSTOPIA profile on fetl!fe

Best wishes

Kitten

You may want to check Febs date! It’s moved again to the 3rd Friday but advertised as the 4th Friday. It’s not nice playing dirty.

No-one is playing dirty , the website also states they have moved their Ladies Night forward 1 week to the 28th of February instead of its normal slot on the 1st Friday of the month because of March having 5 Saturdays , it's to keep their parties in line with each other .

This is not a good look this obvious animosity toward another club

Indeed. Moving a 4th Friday party to random Friday makes them look weak. Completely agree.

Not sure what a a 5 Friday month has to do with moving the date to a 3rd Friday. Consistency is key.

I think we can all agree that the only consistency here is that Ignite management simply refuse to accept that Hellfire never changed their January Dungeon night , and that they are comfortable openly talking in such a way that is insulting about another club in a public forum which clearly shows they cannot support another club , which as I stated above is NOT a good look for Ignite .

Funny why are dates move? Surely that’s a sign of weakness?

Ignite management supports unity, which they prove by moving events to support the community only to be faced with movable 4th Fridays and hostility.

Why do dates move? It's fully explained on Hellfires website as I'm sure you are aware , such as when there are 5 Fridays/Saturdays in a month , adjustments are needed to keep their many parties aligned and also to keep their Weekend Passes aligned with the correct parties too , nothing nefarious about that at all , it all makes perfect sense

And more importantly openly advertised that these changes need to occur

Ignite management has faced hostility, really?

You have been given constructive feedback to your obvious insults and misinformation about another club , so who is really being hostile ??

While this seems to now have become an argument, rather than an open discussion, this seems rather pointless and petty.

when the whole point of the constructive feedback was to arrange events that don’t clash with similar events at other venues.

It’s a shame, as it was. Honest and open suggestion.

Just catching up on this thread.

We want to create a successful event so actually requested to change the date. Ignite allowed this.

All future dates will be on dates that work best for all involved and hopefully allowing max attendance.

We are open to receive constructive feedback on the event itself because that is what we can work to improve on!

This lifestyle allows people to be themselves and we all love different things and the different clubs speak to us all in different ways which means there is space for all.
