One thing to consider is that councils appear to have taken an interest in clubs and especially the fire safety aspect. Other than exisiting hotels which will have been inspected for fire safety and capacity, most buildings will not have the required number of exits. So making a building compliant will be expensive.
You also have to think about the change of use application and any objections from local residents and businesses

If there is a distinct lack of other clubs etc in your area then there has to be a reason. 1, no one created one (which isn't the case here) or 2. The local council don't approve, this is most likely to be the case. Answer, buy an isolated house and run a house party... |
