DV8 Kent - Closing?

DV8 is not closing. The couple that have been running it are moving on to new pastures.
They are holding their leaving party 14th December.
The club will be open for business as usual after that. Xxx |

That’s very cruel.
We’ve spoken to him a few times and he’s a really nice old chap who has lead a very interesting life and now supplements his pension a little. |

It has always been my understanding, and I'm happy to be corrected, that the venue has more than one type of use. Perhaps DV8 is ceasing operation permanently, as such, and someone else will resume the party side of things under a new name?
I'm sure we will find out soon. |

Pineapple parties are running nights there if you Check there profile it will say dates .The people who were running it have left and the owner is know running it.More details of nights will follow as things get sorted. |

Been asked the same question privately, so here goes.
Basically I'm not really iterested enough to care.
I live very close to Eureka, Silverleigh and Brocken Hurst. All of these, despite, different shortcomings, are better than anything I've heard about DV8.
Unless I am radically wrong, DV is a long way for me to go and find that there are only a few hours of sunshine during a relatively shorter sun season. The opening hours /style of usage related hours don't make the trip worthwhile, even if the weather plays ball.
My already shortening life is far too short for taking a,gamble on a venue where every report I've ever had from people who have been there seems to say it isn't the place I need to be investigating.
Will still follow the threads about it out of academic interest.
