"I'm looking to introduce a female friend to swinging.
Can anyone recommend a club south of Birmingham that has a bit of class, not scruffy or seedy but definitely not too pretentious either?
"
Does south of Birmingham include Birmingham?
Up there you have Chams or Xtasia depending on if you want to dress down or dress up - both great clubs.
A bit sparse in the SW but there's Secrets, Utopia, Within Temptation and Swindon Swingers that get rave reviews.
Any club can be a good club. It's often as much about who's there on the night as the bricks and mortar. I've been to some average clubs in terms of layout/facilities, but had a great time because of the people I went with.
Best suggestion is to look at specific events in the Clubs and Events forum as many will be for nights you won't need to join the club as a member, which is especially handy if travelling a reasonable distance to somewhere you won't go frequently. |

Liberty Elite (Lutterworth) is quite classy, have a look for Channel 4 "Swingers" documentary as it was filmed there. They can be a bit pricey, though.
There is also Penthouse Playrooms in Dunstable which has a very classy decor but might be too far for you to drive.
In my opinion, the ultimate "best club" is Chams in Darlaston. It's a dress down on arrival club but the atmosphere there is great. |
